Targeting Delivery of Factory Order for the end of December/early January

If I were to factory order a 1SS 1LE to shoot for a late December delivery, when should the order be placed?

I realize there is a whole lot of variability, and if the car is late and takes longer than anticipated that is OK. I just don't want it early.

Thanks for the input.

Based on my order, I'd say 6 to 8 weeks before you are ready for it. Obviously, as you said, there are a lot of variables that can change that.

It’s never about Chevy building at a slow pace, it’s max 6-7 weeks once they start the build.

But if the dealer has no allocation and lies to you, it could be NEVER...

How long does it typically take from placing the order to starting the build?

Yeah - I need to find a decent dealer to deal with. Thanks.

From 2000 to start figure around three weeks. As in everything related to the customer orders, this is a guideline as there is only one rule with out an exception: the dealer must have an allocation against which to place the order.

The rest of the process is exceptions as there are no other rules.

Thanks for the reply. That said, can anyone recommend a dealer? Thanks. Feel free to PM me if needed.

Seeing as Becky is willing to provide everyone in the US with status updates on orders I would go with her. She has given me 10x more service and support than my current dealership.
