Just for fun, and in case anyone has forgotten, the Eclipse is the 21st....

Staying in SoCal for 70%....Area of totality sounds like it's going to be a zoo...lol...Good luck, and stay safe!...lol

Anyway, I think it's a pretty cool thing overall....

I expect it to be cloudy and rainy where I live, so I'll watch it on youtube.

The world is going to end....lol. I wish I was farther south than where I am, would have a better chance of seeing a full eclipse.

I live in SW Washington and will get about a 97 % eclipse. I just spent the last four months working in Fairbanks Alaska . I just left my job there a little early, drove home this weekend to see the eclipse . I live about 30 miles NW of Mt St Helens and may take the convertible ZL1 , truck and travel trailer up there to see it . The traffic south of Portland Oregon (100% eclipse) will be a real a real mess . I can go back to work down here now , but I want experience this event on my own time . I was a senior in high school for the last one . I am a union pipefitter/ welder and will be watching through a welding lens lol .

I live in the SF Bay so I am no where near that line.

If you look at the sun on any day you will likely see it eclipsed by some chick's Adam's apple.

I did a previous thread on this:

I am driving to the KY-TN border to view on the 21st. I was going to take the Camaro but thinking the minivan might be the more practical choice...

Watching in my hometown of Springfield, Tn. Should be pretty cool if not too cloudy. Both of my grown kids are coming to watch it with us.

Lets all remember not to look at this without special eyewear. You wouldn't think that would have to be said but..

I was not proactive in purchasing the solar glasses, do you think if I layer a bunch of tint that would be safe to use?

No. Try going to O'Reilly's or a welding shop Supply and get a 14 lens for a welding helmet.

I am in the area of almost the most totality of two and a half minutes I think of complete totality. I can't wait

Nice and clear sunny morning here in the Pacfic NW . Kind of cool this event starts on the west coast then moves east .
