Vert A6 Sport Mode Experiances

I just discovered you can drive in "M" mode without using Tapshift. Does the transmission seem to hold gears longer or is it my imagination? What are your impressions of this, since convertible owners were "robbed" of the standard performance traction modes that others get.

if you drive it aggressively, it will hold gears longer. Also, it will start in 1st gear in "M" instead of 2nd in "D". So, you aren't imagining it.

The car always starts in 1st gear, but the sport mode uses some kind of combination between hard acceleration and lateral g-force to determine that you want to "race". This will cause the transmission to shift very hard and keep the RPM at roughly 3K ready to lunch at a moments notice. its a blast :)

The car starts in 1st in manual and second in Drive. This is a ZL1 not a SS. Total different transmission and tune. In manual it also shifts at a higher RPM than drive.

Yes it does hold the gear longer & shifts abit in a higher rpm than the D "mode".

Understand, ZL1 thread and ZL1 3 places in the OPs signature.
