Did you have to give up anything to buy your C7?

Well, here's the deal. I want a C7. I just bought a 1LE in May of this year. I own the 1LE straight up, which means it's almost a shame to give it up. But, we'll seeeeeee....... If I want to keep the 1LE, instead of trading it for a C7, I'll have to wait at least a year for a C7. :sad0147: Decisions, decisions. I know a few guys were in the same boat. How do you sleep at night?

EDIT: other than the 60k+ lol

That's a tough decision.... I'd be going crazy too if I had to give up a new 1LE. Even if you have to wait a bit, try to hold out since the 1LE is still a very nice 5th gen. that has power & topnotch handling to back it up big time. :thumb:

As for the question in topic... it's no for me. I kept my other 2 rides and added the C7. :humble:

I can't sleep because I'm always daydreaming of Stingrays. :D

:respekt: Lucky dog lol. That's awesome, man. And, believe me the 302 was definitely on the list too a year ago.

The thing with the 5thgen, it was, and still is to a degree, one of those iconic cars that comes around every few generations that people would kill to own. Now, I honestly feel the C7 is the same, a legend in its own right. You know what I mean? That's why it's a tough decision, to say the least. I've followed the 5thgen since 2006, so it's not to say that I just got into this car.

With that said, however, I think most people would probably want to own a vette over camaro. I definitely won't take this decision lightly. As the saying goes, only time will tell.....

Gave up my 2010 SS. It was a blast while I had it, but worth it to trade.

If you guys don't mind me asking, how much did you get on your trade? I intend to buy a C7 straight up so I figure I'll need about 40k as I believe I won't get more that ~25k on my camaro. You think that's accurate? Shooting for a 2LT Z51 with a couple of options.

I only got 30K for mine which wasn't great since I've got a little over $75K in it.... the advantage though is that the trade comes off the sale price as far as sales tax goes.

They've got my 2011 Camaro on the NEW car showroom floor for $36,900.

I got $20K for mine...2010 2SS/non-RS, 41,000 miles w/1 minor accident on the CarFax. That sucker sold in 3 days off their lot. I'm sure they sold it for $26,000.

I gave up my 2010 Camaro SS IOM for nearly what I bought it for. I will get 38k in three years (I sold it to someone I know). It was pretty hard to let it go, but after receiving the corvette I can honestly say I'm ok with it. I have a 2012 Camry and my wife has a 2013 Venza. Wife and I decided it would be more practical if we only had one toy. . . Maybe after having some kids will I think about getting another Camaro, they both are very awesome cars

My wife said, "You got the Corvette, now I get a cat!".
