C7 Vert Trunk Space

Anyone know if the C7 Vert trunk space will have a similar set up as the C6 (Is there still the ability to drop a safety cover to get more space when the top is up)?

Trie several forums, but nada on this question

Thanks

I had an opportunity to check out the size of the cargo area at Laguna Seca. I was curious about the luggage capacity of the C7 compared to the C6. It looks similar, but that's not good enough. So, lacking a ruler, I used the only precise instrument I could find - a brochure. From the back wall to the bulkhead behind the seats, it was 3 brochures plus a little. It turns out the brochure was 11 3/4 inches. So the length is 36". My C6 front to back is about 37" (the back wall has some bulges). The width of the C7 between wheel wells was 42 1/2". My C6 is 41 3/4". After extensive calculations and analysis, I have determined that the luggage capacity is essentially the same. (Note: the area inside the C6's bulging rear window does add some more space, but I don't stack things that high.)

:thanks: Was wondering if I'd be limited to the C6 for long week trips. Do you know if the safety boot is still installed? Would seem so in order to avoid putting top down with items in the way.

Not sure if this helps but, check my pic, I was able to put the top in the trunk even with all the those bags in. :thumb:

Eventually, I'll get the answer; either when someone with a Vert posts or when I get mine later this month, or Dec, or Jan, or :iono:

Unfortunately, no customer verts have been delivered. We will be conducting a comparison in the museum parking lot, as my wife and I are taking my 427 Convertible to Bowling Green to get her new C7 vert. '(Assuming today's storms don't trash the Museum or the plant.)

will a set of golf clubs or two fit in the coupe?

I finally figured out how to solve the question in one of those "Duh!!" moments. :bonk:

Looked at my C6 Owners Manual convertible instructions; went to the same topic in the C7 Owners Manual that I down loaded. There it was, on 2-28, almost identical to c6. Seems like the trunk partition may have been one of the items carried forward. Page 4-3 has pictures.

That said, we have never had any problem on 7 to 10 day trips with the partition down. Two midsized carryon suitcases, two smaller carry on bags and one large camera bag. Only challenge was getting valet out of the way so it could be loaded properly. Weekend trips are a snap.

Don't golf, but have no doubt two bags would fit in there easily with the partition down, maybe only one with it up.
