My Labor Of Love. The Little Details.

Well this is my Defenderworx Chrome Shifter.
I was bored with nothing to do so I decided to paint the engravings black. At first I tried PlastiDip and it was a complete fail. So I then stole some high gloss black (Maybeline) nail polish from the girlfriend and went to town. I gave it about 3 passes each side. I then took my polishing head on my Dremel and started polishing off the excess. It worked okay but it took to long. So I drove to Walgreens about an hour ago and picked up some nail polish remover and got back to work. And it worked good. But I was using a microfiber cloth that took the polish of the engraving. So I gave it a few more passes and carefully cleaned off the access with a Q-Tip. And here you have it. The whole process took me three hours of labor of love for this little detail. And if anyone would appreciate it, it would be you guys. Good night.:D |

You should have used some eyeliner. Has better precision than a brush. :sm0:Looks good though.

What would you think of me painting some Ferrari red stripes on my Camaro with my old ladies lip stick? Hahaha |

But I love my Camaro so much that I refuse to let anyone else work on it. No matter how difficult or simple the task is. I've learned a lot on here and appreciate all the labor that the members put into their Camaros. That's why this is my favorite site. Anything I want to know or share about my car, I come here. Thanks you for the advice my good sir. |
Looks good. Nothing like the pride of doing it yourself.
