2016 Plant Shutdown
 

Does anyone know for sure when or if the plant will be shutdown. and for how long. Normally, it's 2 weeks at the beginning of July. My dealer doesn't know, Becky thought Jul 6th, and there is nothing on the plant website.

It's probably a little early for a 2016 plant shutdown to be announced. If you're planning a trip to the plant you might have to wait until the Spring of 2016 to learn when the plant will be closed for vacation/setting up the line for the 2017 model. :thumb:

Keep an eye on the "black-out" dates on this web site and you'll be able to figure out when they'll close, if they'll close next year. It'll probably be a few months before they post 2016.

Don't Have An Answer, but . . . .
 

We took delivery of our '16 Stingray at the Museum on July 16 & part of that option package was a private tour of the factory. Our host/guide told us that normally the plant does shut down in early July, but due the high number of orders for 2016 Corvettes, management and union worked an agreement to postpone the normal shutdown. Our host did not know (or could not say) when the shutdown will occur. Wish I could help more.
