I'd guess that at least the drivers seat will be powered. Time will tell. :iono:

Just keep in mind, this is a concept, meant for show only, it doesn't even have a parking brake!(yes, i know it's in the trunk, but really...)
Anyways, my best advice is to look at the newer cars coming out now by Chevy, do most of them come standard with power seats? That is probably your best guide as to options in this car. |
I never really understood the appeal... I mean, really, how often do you move your seat
|
Depends on how often you're changing drivers

For me, it's not necessarily that the seat is changed much, but the RANGE of movement the power seats have. |
I plan on being the only person driving my Camaro, so the power seats option doesn't appeal to me much....

If I have a choice I do not want the power seats. I love them in my truck, because of the Memory seat option, but In my wifes car, there was no memory option, and she is 5'1", while I am 6'4", and standing there holding the button for 10 seconds before I could even think about sitting down, is a real pain in the but.

I didnt realise how great they are untill I got into my 72.
My old 87 Z28 had power seats, and a 20k Cobalt has power driver seat. I would say its safe to bet that you will have at least the driver seat adjustable. Memory seats are phenominal as well. Another great option...remote start. Got it on the Maxx, cant leave home without it. Its just expected from a car now a days. Years ago, fancy disk brakes were rare, now 10k Aveos have disks. Im sure there will also be heated versions. |
I can do w/out power seats. I'm the only one who's going to drive it anyway! I'd rather spend the power seat money on something else. I'm sure it's most likely going to be a standard option for the Z28/SS models, though.

the thing about power seats is that they are more adjustable... I completely agree that they are, at times, a PITA... but their flexability far outweighs their downfalls... being able to lift the seat as well as control bolsters and front and rear height is a big plus... and if you think you'd rather do that manually, I'd challenge you do try doing it manually sometime in one of the cars that offer it.
both of our '67 Camaros and the '88 V6 Camaro have manually adjusted seats... and I've considered changing every single one of them to power seats at one point or another. |
What are the chances of the new Camaro having heated leather seats? That's an option I've come to get very used to on my RSX and is great to have in a cold climate like Canada. The '07 Mustang GTs have heated leather seats. Will the Camaro? Did the 4th gen have heated leather seats? Its an option I'll have a tough time living without if its not there.
|
the 4th gens were available with leather seats but they were not heated... the TA seats were "upgrade" seats compared with the SS and Z28 seats... the TA seats has air adjustable side bolsters and lumbar... the Camaros got six way adjustable seats but didn't get the air adjustments.
its a pretty sure bet that the 5th gen will get heated seats for driver and front passenger... the new Tahoes have heated front and second row seats, so I can't imagine them putting anything less than two heated seats in the "upgrade" leather seats category :) what would REALLY be nice is if they were to offer heated and cooled seats... now that would be PIMP! I'd pay an extra $200 for that option |
I'm sure that there will be a power seat option on the car. I'd like to see dual power heated seats.
