look like I'm out of luck. I don't do facebook or youtube. Oh well

RubyCamaro 08-14-2017 05:52 PM

The original post had the wrong link - corrected it. Anyone can go look at videos on YouTube. Any video you have ever watched on C5 has been a YouTube video because it is the only way you can post them here. You don't have to have an account or channel. You can go there & search for how to do anything, any music you like, anything you are interested in, etc & watch to your heart's content. Click on the YouTube symbol at the bottom of the above video & it will take you to YouTube. Some of my videos from last night will probably be along the side. Click on & watch them & others will likely show up on the side. You can type RubyCamaro5 in the search box & it will show you my channel (you will recognize my car). Click on it & you can watch every video I have ever posted.

Checking in from my vacation this year. We took the trailer to Canada. We just spent the last few days in Quebec City. We loved old Quebec made us feel like we were in Europe with the historical buildings and narrow streets. Tons of shops and restaurants as well. We also visited the falls at Montmorency. We zip lined across it and it was awesome. We are now in Montreal until Say so we will see the sights there. No pictures yet as the internet connection in the campground has been spotty. I will see if I can post some when I get home.

Love your car! I parked the mini van and got myself a 2010 Camaro SS V-8, 6 on the floor 426 HP. My dad was afraid it was the 550 HP. he said, "don't shoot your eye out"!

RubyCamaro 08-16-2017 07:16 PM

Sounds like fun Zandron. Look forward to seeing pics.

Things are getting a little worrisome here in preparation for the Eclipse. The estimates of the numbers of tourists are going to overwhelm Nashville and our small towns................forgetaboutit! Local officials are talking like preparation for a disaster. Get groceries by Friday, fill gas tank & prepare for cell phone & power outages. Roads called for being in gridlock for hours. Good grief! I wanted to go to one of the local viewing parties but now thinking of having my own in the back yard.

Stay safe everyone.

People are going nuts here too, and there will only be a partial eclipse here.

Got a new (to me) project vehicle. Does not run, yet.

I had one of them. But my balance isn't very good.

69supersport396 08-17-2017 11:56 PM

Many new parts arrived and are installed. Might try to fire it up tomorrow.

RubyCamaro 08-19-2017 09:33 AM

Groceries bought, gas tanks filled, eclipse glasses ready, daughter hitting the road today, a few prep tasks for today. Almost ready for the craziness of the eclipse.

69supersport396 08-21-2017 12:32 AM

It runs!

Claire took pics of me buzzing around the cul de sac.

Great commercial!

After 3 days of stressing over my little sister who just moved to Galveston Island, we are relieved to know she is safely at a campground Near College Grove and at this point her house has survived. It is far from over as they are still rained into a camper with their 3 dogs, lots of rain & potentially tornadoes yet to get through & no telling how long until flood waters go down enough for them to go home. But for now a big sigh of relief. Hope all our Camaro peeps down there are okay.

Glad to hear that your sister is OK. As a Native Floridian I have been through a lot of Hurricanes. Luckily, I have not experienced anything like Hurricane Harvey! Praying for everyone in Harvey's path....

I would have just given about anything to have been there for that showing. I would have tried to bribe that little guy with a lot of money to take his place. And to see that was actually a card board box & not built out of wood was just amazing.:clap::thanks:for that Trickskier.

That was a highly regarded secret. I found out after the fact that it was filmed in a subdivision in Charlotte, NC. It took 2 days to build the box.

Such a horrible situation for all those impacted. Hope recovery goes as well as possible. My sister managed to get to safety & was hold up in an RV park close to College Station for 5 days. They made it back to their place on Galveston Island on Wednesday. There was some water under the house (up on posts) some things damaged under there in storage area and her husband's recently restored Trans Am did not look to have fared too badly. (She said he wrapped it in tarps like a burrito. LOL). But when they got upstairs they found bedroom windows had broken in & there was a good bit of water that had ruined lots of things including some walls & furnishings. However, all in all, they were very lucky. They even have power & potable water. Stay safe everyone in impacted areas.

We got the remnants of the storm here last night & some local flooding, trees down, etc. Our place is fine thankfully.

Hope everyone has a safe Labor Day weekend.

This picture was taken during our Labor Day Parade. My home town has been having it for over 80 years. I have been helping organize it since 1984. Our town doubles in size on this day. The flag in the foreground is 30' x 20'. The one on the fire truck above is 60' x 40'. Thought you guys might like to see it !!

Thanks Spike - Hoping Hurricane IRMA gets torn apart by Cuba! Hope your daughter & her family are safe as well. A little less than a week away and no water or batteries on the shelves.....

69supersport396 09-06-2017 12:52 PM

That's a big flag!

Welcome new guys! :)

Hoping for the best to everyone in Irma's path. I have to fly back east to MD for work on Sunday, 9/10.

I have joined the ranks of others who use a MacBook Pro. I got this mainly for photo and video editing, but wow! What a difference. And the retina screen is to die for.

RubyCamaro 09-06-2017 09:39 PM

Welcome new folks. Be safe everyone in the way of Irma. My sister is safe now & my daughter under the gun this time.

I don't know where I fit in @ 32, but I think everything sucks these days ( music, values, styles, etc) so I consider myself old.

That's because you live in Cali. Move to Texas

I like Texas. I hate CA taxes and all the manbuns, but all the family is here. With a little one, home is where his grandparents are. Plus the beach and mountains in a short drive each way is nice.

This is one time that I'm glad that the forecast models were wrong. Irma continues to track West and the eye is currently over the outerbanks of Cuba. Hoping Irma continues to track West and is weakened significantly by Cuban landfall. Windy & rainy in Jacksonville this morning.

ragzl1 09-10-2017 11:29 AM

Good luck Trick !!!!

Good except that now it is taking dead aim at my daughter who lives in Havana, Fla & works in Tallahassee. Luckily Ruby Tuesday closed yesterday afternoon & won't close until after it passes. Worried Mama. Be safe everyone in the path.

Hopefully Irma will be seriously downgraded by the time it get to the panhandle. Praying for anyone in Irma's path!
