Extra Cost - Color
 

Extra Charge for Velocity Yellow, Laguna Blue Tintcoat and Crystal Red Tintcoat posted on Corvette Color Selector.

If they charge extra they better not be as pathetically weak as the paint on the Camaro...

that has much less to do with charge as it does with restrictions on paint types being used today.

I understand the new requirements, however many manufacturers resolved this by adding more clear.

As most of the colors are carry-overs from the C6, I would assume the paint to be identical. This said, then the extra-cost colors are 3-layer colors (base color, color-tinted clear, clear), instead of the more typical 2-layer colors (base color, clear). It would also be reasonable to expect the cost to be about the same as on the C6, which was $995 for Velocity Yellow and Crystal Red.
