Took the better half to see Neil Diamond in Cleveland last night in the car. The man still has his pipes at 76. God Bless you Neil we had a great time and the ride in the Camaro made it that much sweeter!! If you have never seen him please do....it was worth every cent!!

Welcome Rob10camaross!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I'm still working on my back yard project. Now I have hit road blocks with installing a natural gas line and finding someone with pavers in stock. Jeez.

Track Day coming up next Friday. I'll still be old and slow, but I am at least enjoying some aspects of my car. NOLA Motorsports has a ~3,300 ft, front straight stretch. I have needed to shift to 5th gear, if I can carry enough speed through turn 16.

69supersport396 06-01-2017 04:31 PM

Enjoy your special day celebrations.

ragzl1 06-01-2017 06:46 PM

Okay, I posted this in the proper section but we don't get hte quick responses we used to so also asking here:

I have a headlight out on the passenger side. Looking in the owner's manual it looks like I would need to pull the fuse box to replace it. I was at a Camaro reunion at the local dealership & they said they would pull the front clip. Really? Why is is such a PITA to just change a light bulb? A couple issues. Mine is a 2010 non RS but I had RS headlamps put in with a custom wiring harness to have my halos as running lights & leaving my true fog lights operating as fog lights. Will this matter? Issue #2, Sometime in 2011 they changed from yellow to blue head lamps. My husband's 2011 has one of each. If I recall correctly, my replacements were the yellow ones and I'm guessing all replacement lamps will be blue? I want them to match. I am tempted to just get some better after market headlights if they are going to have to pull the whole front off. Input please.

Edit: I was out there looking at the car again & now the headlight is fogged up inside the headlight & has water in the blinker area. Guess I'm looking at getting replacement headlamps. Any recommendations or ones to avoid? Specific aftermarket ones that everyone likes or just go with new OEM ones?

I saw your post and replied in it . The other thing you can do is drill a couple of small holes in the bottom of the head light to let air in and moisture out to dry out the headlight.

RubyCamaro 06-03-2017 06:32 PM

I saw your response. Yeah that would probably work but even if sealed back up well afterword, these lights probably need to be replaced. They were not in such good shape when I got them installed. I did not know prior to agreeing to the install at the fest that they were used & had been opened & resealed. One even had some tabs broken off, but by the time I knew it, he already had my front end off. I probably will just get me some after market ones installed.

John - We did see a few Grizzly and Black Bears but they were off in the distance. Actually, more people are killed by moose than bear every year in Alaska. Now I know why Alaska is an open carry state.

WOW that is going to be a beast. And the new braking power on it. You better do some speed testing on the brakes before you put it in traffic to get use to it. :yikes:

I can't wait to drive it!!! 500 HP / 3.73 Gear Ratio needs a lot of brakes!!!

That IROC looks great!

Been busy building my paver patio. Started laying pavers today. If it wasn't for the 107° heat, I could have worked all day. I'll go back out in the evening when it cools off a bit.

Thanks everyone! After suffering a bit of dehydration yesterday, I finished today.

Rented a paver saw from Home Depot yesterday. What an awesome piece of equipment!

Just have one more edge to add landscape stones to, but I cannot walk on it until noon Saturday.

What the heck I thought you were going to patio block all around the pool.:iono:

And you don't have any of that fine carpet grass for lawn.

Royal Tiger 06-10-2017 08:20 AM

Love the IROC. It's the car that made me want a Camaro one day (graduated HS in 1989).

RubyCamaro 06-10-2017 10:11 PM

Pavers turned out great!

I am worn the heck out! Mike insisted we do what we both swore we would never do again & washed the house. I resisted but had to be out there to be sure he did not fall off the ladder & of course ended up helping. We are just too old & in too bad a shape for this crap! I swear we will pay someone to do it next time if I have to sabotage something. Hope I can move in the morning. I sat in the hot tub for a while & now need to get some sleep.

zandron263 06-11-2017 09:02 AM

The IROC and the pavers look great. I hear you about the aches and pains after a long day of physical work. I have several projects left to finish but between the weather and travel for work ( was in Cincinnati last week may go to NC in two weeks) time is at a premium.

I made an appointment to have the top looked at with a private shop on the 26th as GM will do nothing for me anymore. Hoping it will get fixed right without costing me a fortune. In the meantime I am driving it as it is.

RubyCamaro 06-11-2017 11:38 AM

Hot tub must have helped. Not feeling any worse for the wear this morning..................but still never doing that again! (I know, never say never)

ragzl1 06-14-2017 07:48 PM

Got to watch about two hours of the Hot Rod Power Tour come through my town today. Lots of great looking and running cars !!

I feel your pain Jan. We're replacing the Pergo in the hall way with tile. I took up the old flooring and baseboard to save money. I'm not sure the savings equals the pain? Wish I had a hot tub!

Now you have a reason to put in a hot tub. Skip the tile.:iono::rolleyes:
