Morning Everyone! I've been extremely busy since the New Year. Entered my ZL1 in Wanna Go Fast this Saturday in Ocala. Last year my fastest half mile time was 137.228 MPH. Weather is expected to be better than last year. Hoping to get into the 140's this year. I'll post pics from event.

ROBOSSRS 01-19-2017 08:37 PM

Maybe when I retire in October this year I can finally do some driving with my 2011 Camaro. As long as the macular degeneration gets no worse in my right eye. My car only has 16,000 miles.

I just changed the oil in my ZL1 @ 26,500 to get it ready for Wanna Go Fast tomorrow. You need to get out and drive your Camaro and enjoy it! And especially enjoy your upcoming retirement!

A 65 degree day in January and Illinois means only one thing. You get to take the animals out for a run. The tracks give proof of the day.

Well I had a blast at WannaGoFast! Top speed for the day was 137.112 MPH on street tires. Everyone I ran against was on drag radials. I beat the ZL1 pictured beside my ZL1 by a car length, blew a BMW completely away got beat by 2 highly modified Corvette's and a Dodge Viper. I Tree'd the heck out of both Corvette's and lead at halfway but they drove around me on the top end. I Tree'd the Viper and saw him in my rearview mirror at one point. He had to use all 10 Cylinders to beat me - LOL!!!

I'll post more pics later.

Hi everyone! Back to reality. Mondays really blow!

Another Barrett Jackson Scottdale is in the books. And once again, I had the time of my life! Yes, it is hard work, and sometimes I wonder why I do it, but the good times and good people far outweigh the bad stuff. Drove some great cars hung out with my awesome Barrett Jackson family.

I will post a photo link up when I get a chance. I was SO busy for a week and a half!

I don't take it out after they put the crappy salt on the roads and after 38 years I still have to work weekends and be on call . It leaves little time. I rarely ask our 16 yo daughter to sit in the back anymore ! We either take our Equinox or the Passat.

Rick ----- Great Pictures as always. The his/hers black w/red 1969 camaros would be a neat set.

Trick ----- 137 mph --- was that at the end of a 1/2 mile ???? Seems like mine gets to 140 faster than a half a mile. I guess it is hard to tell when you start covering ground at that rate of speed.

John

Yes, 90% of the time is awesome!

Favorites? Wow, this year, that is a hard question to answer, as there were tons of nice, GOOD cars there! In no particular order.....

2005 Porsche Carerra GT - the one to lust over
1955 Nomad - just a nice cruiser
2 different 1966 Impala SS hardtops - I just like these 1966 full size Chevys
1968 GTO - done very well
1947 Plymouth ragtop - a real sweatheart!

69supersport396 01-24-2017 10:36 AM

Some of these I drove, some i didn't. But if I had the $$$, I would have bought these.

John - Asphalt runway hardly any traction at the start. Believe me I was disappointed! I'll be on racing slicks next time.

Yup.

I don't have a tach in the car yet, but it is revving somewhere around 4K at 65 MPH.

RubyCamaro 02-02-2017 02:00 PM

And yet again we were halfway down the section. Must be busy times for Old farts. I am home today with back pain. Had to do some work on computer but now ready to go back to bed & rest some. I guess if this keeps up a chiropractor is next. I have tried everything else.

arod55 02-02-2017 02:24 PM

Ruby have you tried Tequila, it help me.:happy0180:

zandron263 02-02-2017 08:00 PM

Janice i recommend seeing a good Chiropractor. i have been getting regular adjustments for years. i used to have problems bending over to tie my shoes. Then i ruptured five discs in my neck. After some intensive chiropractic therapy i am virtually pain free today with no back or neck surgeries. My Chiropractor says i am a medical mystery to him as he is surprised I function as well as I do based on the train wreck that my neck is.

Trickskier 02-03-2017 04:27 AM

Happy Friday Everyone!!! :happy0180:

RubyCamaro 02-03-2017 01:44 PM

Not having a great last few days. Had increasingly bad pain in my back this week. Missed work yesterday & today. Did physical therapy last year which did not really help much. I had a miserable night last night. Went to a chiropractor for the first time just now. X-rays showed degenerative disks in 3 lower back disks, bone spurs & scoliosis causing one hip to be a little lower than the other. Great. https://www.facebook.com/images/emoj...5/16/1f641.png:( I got electronic stimulation & a chiropractic adjustment & some gel stuff to apply. Return appointment on Monday. I sure hope this helps. I hate being in pain.

I feel your pain, I've had degenerative arthritis for years; started in my upper vertebra/disks and, a few years ago, started in my lower vertebra/disks. Went through a lot of what you are/have been in regards to pain and treatments. None of the treatments worked for my lower back. Recently was referred to a pain management doctor (as I'm not ready to have surgery or take pain pills). He gave me a cortisone shot that almost immediately relieved the constant pain and eased the pain when I walk or stand for long periods. He said it may take up to 3 more shots over the course of the next couple of months (each about 2-3 weeks apart) before the pain is minimized. Best of luck to you and hope they quickly find a treatment that helps :happy0180:

69supersport396 02-03-2017 10:21 PM

Happy Friday gang! What'she left of iti.

Hope you feel better soon Jan. A chiropractor helped my wife immensely!

So I'm getting calls on my cell phone every other day for the past two weeks from some guy at the dealership I bought my Camaro from. Says he is with the GM vehicle exchange program and wants to ask me some questions. You would think by now he'd get the hint I don't want to hear his questions as I have not called him back.

I'm sure they want me to trade the Camaro in on something else. It's paid for and has less than 7700 miles on it. I don't think so.

Washed and waxed my wife's car, lots of yard work (weatherwise, it is spring here in AZ), cleaned the pool, then detailed the Caprice until bedtime.

I think the yard work did it to me. :noidea:
