It's a piece of Satire, not a real proposal....

Parodies and lampoonery in its political finest... Bans on spoilers, low profile tires, ground effects kits, and the color red. In addition to many other speed enhancements.
lmfao i know right? get a shitty 4 banger civic and throw a turbo in her...whats he gonna say then? and itll still get 25 mpg+
wow
"Provisions in the DRIVE Act would ban multiple makers of vehicles including Lamborghini, Porsche, and Ferrari, as well as many more common models such as the Chevy Corvette and Camaro, Ford Mustang, Dodge Challenger and Charger."...along with bans on vehicles more than 200 Hp, tinted windows and modifications....
Yea right...imagine what this would do to a WHOLE lot of Auto related industries/economy.. |
:pound:LMAO. That was funny. He better have a flack jacket on. If this was real I would be worried.
:chevy:
:lol::der::doh::emoticon1: |
That was a fun read.. but dang if you cant see it coming soon to your local city... :bonk:
Funny article for sure.
What an absolute joke! I would like to think there is no way that could pass but who knows after they passed the gun bill pretty much overnight.
I mean everything about this article screams "haha, just kidding" but some people will go along with anything. |

I (Heart) NY. I grew up in the Mohawk Valley and go back there every summer to visit many good friends. But I am SO GLAD I don't live there anymore. |
actually, it'sd not really satire, isnt there a federal law that says the average car has to get like 50 mpg by 2020 or something?? Also before you know it the Google Cars will be mandated and it will be illegal for humans to drive. Look up USA today article "car of the future". So it's actually much worse than that piece of Satire reflects.
Tell him to go have a 32 oz Coke and chill out or some one might use an assault vehicle on him... :character0182:
A few years ago, Rush Limbaugh offered, as satire, that "someday, liberals will despise SUVs, and try to ban them!" I thought it was pretty much of a stretch, as, even just a few years ago, one could not possibly imagine hating on a CAR... how silly would that be? Of course, it's general knowledge now, that SUVs are only driven by demon- possessed haters of Mother Earth.
So, it's even possible that satirical work like this could see reality someday... and just the fact that the THOUGHT is out there... means that some bonehead politician might be inspired by it! Not that there are any bonehead politicians out there... |
Unconstitutional for sure. The automakers will sue the crap out of the state as well as massive impeachment petitions. How about moron control, just catapult all the criminals to the next star over and ban them. How about we revoke the citizenship of all children that get more than three detentions in their life? I mean at least in New York. Than well revoke driving privileges of anybody over 65. Then.........
This guy is a MORON. |
The "any soda bigger than 16 oz." ban that was to go into effect tomorrow here in the 5 boroughs has been halted by a judge that declared it unconstitutional. So this would NEVER happen.
That will never pass and is nothing but a politician flapping his gums.
Even though this was intended as a joke, it wouldn't surprise me a bit to see the A-holes that run that state try something like it.
This can't be a real proposal, as nowhere did it say FOR THE CHILDREN!
:sad0147: |
Man I got scared for a second, I read the article and thought "this is a little too ridiculous, it can't be real". Fortunately about a minute of research assured me that they haven't gone completely mental :der:. This is a joke, it is not a real proposal.
considering the crap NYC is doing with "large sugary drinks" I almost bought it.
They've already went and desecrated the constitution with that law, why not another with one like this, you know? |
This reminds me of China.
Great, another satirical "news" source I have to be aware of
