Possible TPW with FAY option
Has anyone seen this form before. Got from my dealer about my C7 order. It may be the beginning of dates for production. To me it shows TPW of course it could be changed week of 9-3 and delivery of week of 9-30. Also my car is supposed to be one of the cars that get the FAY option carbon fiber dash.

Says estimated delivery 9/3-9/30
|
Dates
According to dealer the first date is the start date week and the second date is the delivery week date. I have not found anyone that has seen these listed like this before even Becky has not seen like this format. Becky says I am still at 3000 but my build says I have the FAY option on my car still.

How old is your dealer's software. Only asking because that looks like a format from teletype days. I don't have an example from then to compare, but it almost looks familiar but not quite.
The build week looks like 09/02/2013, and the 09/30/2013 looks like the estimated delivery date. I know Corvette used to give estimated delivery dates (which were pretty accurate) and see no reason for a change. Corvettes are shipped on a truck car hauler and not by train so GM has a much better idea of when a delivery SHOULD take place. AND YES, it feels good to have internet access. Laborsmith |
It is a Ca. bay area dealership so there software is up to date, like yes they have computers. I posted this because not many people have seen TPW yet and I thought it would be a little positive note that our cars are getting closer. My order was placed to GM back in April.

I hope I’m not getting off topic but some dealers don’t explain to their customers how the ordering process works, that’s why so many members don’t understand why their stuck at 1100 status for so long. Simply put they won’t move until the dealer has an allocation for that order. Your pecking order of getting your Stingray built doesn’t go by the date of the order but rather the date that the order was accepted by GM production control (3000) meaning the parts are available to build this order. Good example is when Kelly stated elsewhere that if you’re at 3000 and have the FAY option then you’re good. When I ordered my Stingray my dealer had 3 allocations and 3 orders for FAY option but only 1 went to 3000 (mine:clap2:) the other 2 had to eliminate that option to proceed to 3000. Sorry for rambling on |
I do have the workbench order also first entry 4/22 event code 1100 then I get up to 3300 on 7/28 and then like everyone else dropped back to to 3000 then after that got the current status on 8/8 which is what is posted. Keep in mind that I have the FAY ontion on my Order Workbench dated 7/16. So this should make it a early run batch build. I only posted this to give some encourgement when we might see some cars being build and delivered.

Right on! And yes the FAY is good at 3000.
