those of you with deposits
is anyone getting a better deal than msrp? im locked in at msrp plus dealer fee and not happy about it, but i dont think im gonna beat it on a new one, and i got number 3 going to the biggest chevy dealer in fla, so its gonna be an early one

You're locked in?? Do you know what the markup fee is??
|
unset dealer fee?? I would bet its north of 7500. Most of the dealers around here were $7500 markup from MSRP on Camaro when that first came out. I can only imagine they see the vette crowd as a bigger mark. I absolutely refuse to pay over MSRP...

There are reputable dealers out there who will not adjust higher than msrp. I have heard- Refundable deposit... sticker price no strings. Build to order per buyer. Written guarantee.

pretty much, i got msrp plus the regular fee, i think its $595. locked in, i get the 3rd one coming to florida's biggest chevy dealer, not bad

I verified with my dealer (Boardwalk) that there are no hidden fees. MSRP, delivery, tax, license. I would walk away on delivery day if they added anything.

I believe he's guaranteed to be third in line to secure the dealer's third allocation spot, once it's available, at a price no higher than msrp.

Paying MSRP, no extras, no hidden fees. I talked Les Stanford Chevrolet (Metro-Detroit) and Coughlin Chevrolet (N/E Ohio) and had a detailed conversation with both. I have submitted a $1000 allocation deposit with Stanford. Every year both of these dealerships are ranked in the top 3-5 Corvette sellers in the country; 200+ units a year. Stanford and Coughlin guarantee that they will not sell a 2014 over MSRP, and that's in writing.

I also have a $1000 deposit with Les Stanford. I put it down last August. I am #3 on their list. They have promised no more than MSRP. I hear they don't play games. but we will see.

Stingray Chevrolet has a strict company policy of NOT selling any car above MSRP and a maximum dealer fee of $99.00. That is why I bought my ZL1 there. There are a lot of good dealers out there, Rodger's in Detroit, Classic in Texas and Stingray in Florida are true standouts in the group and very customer satisfaction oriented.

Not trying to hi jack this post, but here in Canada (where camaros are made),

Paying $500 less than MSRP with no dealer doc fees at MacMulkin Chevrolet. Tom Thompson Jr. is the Man!
