lug nut missing

body work a couple years ago, I guess they never put it in on the passenger front. I don't drive much but moving 4 hours away in a month. should I get a new one? I moved across the country and let all my tools with my dad so I don't have a torque wrench or even know what the socket size is. should I run it without the one lug nut or go to the dealership or buy one and a torque wrench? and what is the size? like a 19mm? sorry it's been a while. thx for help

You should get one. Any auto supply store should have the right size. Take another as a sample. Don't worry about torquing it.

The socket size is 22mm.

the thread size is 14mm x 1.5. That and the correct bevel are the most important things. If it were me, I would try to get an OEM replacement. Or maybe you can match it up from here

Take the time to check all of the lugnuts. One missing maybe a sign they all are suspect.

Sorry this is terrible advice. They definitely need to be torqued, especially for a multiple hour drive-even if it is just one lug. If not, you risk the wheel coming off, warped rotors etc.
if you don’t want to get a torque wrench buy the missing lug and take it to a tire shop or dealer, wouldn’t be surprised if they put it on for free.

Not being torqued might be the reason it is missing. I would get one & then check ALL of them.

Yep, and if anyone else needs any stock lugs, I too have a bag full of them off my 2011 SS/RS.
