Stripping Camaro, What parts should I grab?
I'm gonna be stripping down a 2010 v6 camaro in a few hours. Any recommendations on what parts I should grab? I have a 2013 2SS/RS Manual.
Was wondering if any of you smart people knew about some expensive parts I might need later from failure or modding since I can get them cheap right now. All I know is it was hit in the front. Idk the extent of the damage but the bumper is different anyway. Anyone know if the front fenders will fit or if its different? Thanks guys |
Lights. Front and rear. Seats.

Battery. I'm assuming it's major damage, but if not other engine components: turbo/supercharger for example. Front/rear bumpers. Does it have a cool exhaust? Could salvage that. Take the cat. Definitely take tires/wheels. If they're decent it shouldn't be hard to sell them if you don't want them. Doors maybe?
I would also take some smaller parts that I want to try stuff on. For example if there's something you want to try but are afraid of messing up try it on the parts car first. Actually if it was me and I could, I'd just take the whole car. |
Engine get rid of that POS 454 and install that V6 badboy in there!

I hear the HUD windshield is expensive. If they're both HUD grab it (if it's not busted)

Steering wheel! The one on the 10-11's is far superior in looks, vs the '12+ years. Same with the gauges.
But that's just my opinion :) I know there are others that feel quite the opposite. You could probably sell the wheel to someone with a 12+ that likes that look, though. Seats, Gauges, HUD (if equipped - not sure that was an option on the '10 model year), wheels, Trunklid, lights, taillight bezels, exhaust... |

Dude. Ever see 'The French Connection'? Check inside the rocker panels. |
Grab as much interior pieces as you can. Those tend to be highly sought after by both v6 & v8 guys. Plus, they can go for a pretty penny.
