Dash logic and Service Power Steering
Been having EPS issues for a while now, and did the following to alleviate it.
Ground wire: - Trunk - Bell Housing - Engine - Cleaned/Roughed Up EPS ground connection New Battery replaced early April of this year. Thought this will fix it, but nope. Probably comes on 1-2x a week when I do get a chance to drive it. The battery is always hooked up to a tender also. I read somewhere that if you have something connected to the OBD2 port it could trigger this. I do have my dash logic hooked up. Do you guys think this can affect it? I did scan for codes and no codes show up. |
What problems are you having? And the dash logic probably won't pull BCM or Chassis codes which is where a EPS code would probably reside. If they don't reside in the EPS module itself.

I think even devices that are "only" reading off the CAN are still having to send request for the data, so it's not impossible.

So I've taken the car out 2 days straight for about an hour or so without the dash logic..and nothing popped up.

I had the same problem after having Dashlogic plugged in for several months. I unplugged it and never had the problem again. My guess is that under circumstances it interferes OBD2 CAN :noidea: Maybe try an OBD2 splitter.

I forgot to mention too that this only started when I had a really bad crank seal leak from my original motor. Ever since it's been intermittent. |
You’re welcome. Good Luck! Post back with an update.
