I've had my xbox for a couple years now and it's still alive.

I won't be getting the 720, though. Not yet at least.

Well software can no longer stay caught up with hardware. They haven't used the 360 to its potential yet.

I'm looking forward to the blu-ray (finally!)

Microsoft has hinted at the 720 being the end all for your home network, Internet, seamless file sharing needs ect. They want that one box to control everything. Ie being able to play a game in a room minus the console similar to dvr technology.

We will see. Nerd rant over.

Haha no, no MP for me. Just in temporary living and the internet doesn't connect to consoles because you have to agree to terms of service.

My Xbox is about 3 years old now. Never had any problems with it.

Heard rumors of 6 processors. 3 being dedicated to backwards compatibility. Hopefully they have massive cooling fans.

My first 2 elites got the red ring of death. The $400 one within 6 months. Never left it on overnight and kept a towel over it while not in use to prevent dust from getting inside to no avail.

Once they added a larger fan I started having problems with optical drives going out. 2 or those.

I finally brought a beater 360 home that I only paid $60 for.

Why do you continue to buy it if you know it's going to be a piece of shit. I have owned a PS1, two PS2's, and a PS3. Used them almost every day and have yet to replace a unit that was the manufacturers fault. (Of course, now that I say this, my ps3 will probably crap out on me)

Even if my Xbox decided to die, I'd probably get another.

Playstation's just...eh. The only game I'd ever play is Gran Turismo. Xbox simply has better titles.

If I had to buy something three to four times, that would literally be the end of it. I don't care how good the titles are. :lol:

Well luckily I haven't had a problem.

The key is ventilation. I've always had mine sitting horizontally on top of a shelf with nothing above it.

Well right now there's a Lego Space Shuttle, three cows, a killer whale, and an Impala 9C1 sitting on it, but I digress. :lol:
