So according to this tweet it looks like the convertible is being revealed next week! The video clip also shows that you can put the top down while driving at a decent speed.

Yay, finally something. Not much of a "vert" kinda guy. But it is still nice to know gm is still working hard. I know with my whining of lack of info came of like a little school girl, it is still nice to get reassurance that they haven't stopped working hard just cause it was revealed.

What a tease...

Cool I hope they keep the info coming in over the next few months to keep us curious

Interesting

Looks like you won't have to slow down or stop to lower the top.

It might have the rear deck like a vette, if the top goes up/down at a decent speed. The back of the convertible top can't be permanently attached because it would scoop too much wind when going up and down.

The text under the video also states "one button" is all it takes (no manual latches).

Both very good soft top indications. :clap2:

Getting interesting for sure. Still hoping for a hard automatic tonneau.

From the looks of the speedo, and I am guessing here, it appears to traveling between 30 and 40 mph, while he's letting the top down and the tach looks like it's at 3k rpm.

It has been pointed out in another thread it works pretty much just like the current gen Corvette. One button to move it up or down, and will do it at speeds at or under 30mph.

Guessing this is pretty much the same.

Rumor from the Dealer Meeting in Vegas is that the Camaro convertible will be similar to the Corvette convertible:

Very cool, I'm not a vert type, but I'm not closed minded either, so I wait and see what weight is added etc.

They should include a relative wind speed indicator...i mean 30MPH into the wind is alot different than 30MPH with the wind or no wind...I wouldn't risk it, but some won't be as attentive.

Angrybird 12 06-19-2015 08:25 PM

I hope it works like this.

Wow, the drop top at the same time as the coupe. You don't see that much.
