Americas Tire F’d up my brand new wheels

All 4 wheels look like this, deep gouges around just about every lug. I was most concerned about them damaging the lip when mounting the tires, didnt notice this until I went to clean them just now. Cant believe it.

Anyone had them damage your wheels before? Gonna be there first thing in the morning

Yes, Had a local tire chain scratch the hell out of one of the stock wheels on my DD Camry. They come painted Gray from the factory.

I complained about it and they tried to blow me off. Called their corporate customer service number and talked to someone. They had me a new wheel in about 3 days waiting at their shop. At the time the car was only about 2 yrs old and the only option was to buy direct from Toyota. I don't know what it cost but I know it wasn't cheap.

This is why they make non-marring sockets.

Same thing happened to me at Firestone, expect mine were A LOT worse. The damage went all the way around the socket and about an inch deep. Completely destroyed the sockets.
All I got out of it was a discount of my next set of tires. I probably could have got more but I was in a unique circumstance at the time, plus I didn't want to get a whole bunch of people fired or in trouble. They were really nice and apologetic about it, it was just a mistake I guess but whatever, shit happens.
Also they weren't OEM wheels, Just a mid range budget set of after market wheels.

Lmao you clown, its not at all Camaro related, but I have been an active member of this community twice over, and will be again when I get the 7th gen. Because of that i still come here for info that can be applied to all vehicles, not just a Camaro. This thread may help a fellow member of the forum in the future if they have services done at Americas/Discount Tire. Or maybe someone already has and could provide guidance on their experience

Anyway

Went in this morning and spoke to the manager, I was calm and respectful, they were super apologetic and offered to refinish or order me a new set. Since they are brand spankin new I opted for new

So if this ever happens to you, keep a level head they should have your back!

These days, it is hard to find services that will actually care for your vehicle. Everything thing is, "get it in and get it out" now. Just the way it is... All you can do is either find shops that happen to care (Usually the Discount Tire and Americas Tire chain are pretty good...), go to a specialty shop, or do it yourself.

Yeah, Discount Tire, which is the same company as American Tire, did the same to mine. Sucks, but it doesn't really matter to me, not very noticeable.
