Pictures of the key fob?

I know that this is odd, but for the people that have seen the car in person ( at shows, the bash or randomly) are there any pics taken of the key fob?

I've only seen this photo, for the convertible...

Hmm. That seems so plain. I hope there is crossed flags or a stingray or something on the other side to jazz it up at least a little.

Well lets hope this isnt the final Key Fob. Leave it up to GM to build the car from the ground up and then use the same Key Fob from 2008!

GRRR.... I know its a small detail, but for those that pay attention to these small details its very disappointing.

I completely agree... so much attention was given and would hate to see that key fob...its the little things

Who sees the key fob? It stays in your pocket so you can push the start button and get results.

I sold my C6 anticipating the Gen5 but my memory says the C6 Crossed Flag was on the fob.

I completely agree with where you're coming from Laborsmith, but there is something about knowing that that little fob in your pocket is awesome looking. Kinda like a woman that wears really sexy lingerie under her clothes...She knows that the majority of people will never see it, but SHE knows she's got them on.;)

I've seen the key fob. It's pretty much the same key fob as always with the updated crossed flags on the back.

Something like Tesla's where it's shaped like the car or the Stingray logo that the tail would also be the key would be absolutely awesome.

The reason it looks plain is because they needed to make if fit the "fobgina" under the steering column when the battery is low. There's a slot under the window-wiper stock that you can put the fob in to operate the car if the fob's battery gets too low for the transceiver to pick it up. That's really the only reason the fob is shaped like that.

Nissan/Infiniti does the same thing.

Theres a key inside the key fob

laborsmith 08-18-2013 07:38 PM

The key inside the fob is used to open the hatch so the doors can be opened if the car battery goes kaput, and not to start the car. You will need a jump if the car battery dies.

Yes, I know. But it doesn't start the car.

Oh! Just realized this is a thread about dead car battery, not fob battery.
