This should be posted in another thread ;) And be thankful that she wasn't one of those robot chicks in the Volkswagen? commercial that beats up the nerd touching the car and kicking the tire. :nono: |
Auto shows featuring C7
All, I asked on the Corvette Facebook site about the C7 being on display at the Atlanta Auto Show March 13-16, but haven't heard from them. Anyone have updated info about it? Thanks.

It'll still be in Geneva.

C7 at auto shows
I'm wondering why the C7 isn't going to be displayed at the Atlanta Auto Show, where it could be seen by many thousands of potential buyers. Instead, GM decides to show the C7 to a handful of people at an Amelia Island event a few hundred miles away. It was an exclusive showing for an exclusive group. Is that the new marketing strategy for the Heartbeat of America? Hobnob with the millionaires who don't buy Chevrolets. All along, I thought it was the hard-working everyday man and woman (whose tax dollars help bail out a troubled car company) who deserved the special handling. Instead, we "thousand-aires" have to travel to the far ends of the continent to see the car, or wait nearly half a year to get our first glimpse of the iconic American sports car. Is Chevrolet's marketing strategy intended to build anticipation or increase our angst?

Probably not enough time to keep it at Atlanta.

I'm not convinced. As many Corvette owners are there are in the South, one would think a show in this region would be worthy.
