3000 and above get in here!
Here we can check and monitor those who are at 3000! What an exciting experience this is!! :D

I am at 3000 as of Wednesday 6/5.....No change Thursday or today.
|
I made 3000 this afternoon! TPW is 7/1 - 7/7. I imagine I will be able to take my Museum Delivery around the first of August. Woohoo!

At 3000 you have not been slotted for a production week, if you were told this by the dealer he was looking at a date they put on orders until they are actually slotted for a production week which would be at status code 3300. In essence you were given a production period (Starting week), again I restate when you attain status 3300 the TPW will be realistic. My order was at 3300 with a TPW of 7/29 till some time Friday and was pulled back to 3000 as were many orders - why, it's unknown at this time but it appears GM is recalculating sequence of production for the first consensus, hopefully we will know more by mid week. |
I have had this happen many times. I think it comes from a late discovered supplier problem (think because I can not prove). It would be interesting to see if all orders are delayed for production or only certain orders, and if only certain orders, what those orders have in common. For example, when the C6 came close to production, orders including optional wheels were delayed for production for several weeks and in that case we knew it was a supplier problem.

3000 Today
QZPDBT - No production build week assigned yet
|
3000 on 6/12!
|
I've been @ 3000 since 6/5.
I'm extremly anxious and it hasn't moved in 2 weeks! |
Won't move until just before the start of regular production, which still seems to be one of the few secrets Edward Snowden has yet to release.

Finally at 3000 on 6/14/13.
My dealer told me that our order had moved to 3000 on 6/14/13 and that there would not be a firm production week listed until the order reached 3300.

A friend and both have Stingrays ordered, and both went to 3300 Monday. I also received the confirmation call from the NCM on the name for my Museum Delivery dash plaque. Getting close for both of us!
|
Went by my dealer today, sales manager checked the order and my car has a TPW of 7/1/2013.
If all goes well, could see the Vette in Aug. Cant wait! |

Are you saying the TPW isn't correct? What's the point of assigning a date to TPW if its something else. When I ordered my ZL1 and it got the TPW, it was built during that week. Why is it different for the Vette? |
Everyones TPW that was in July is now changed to August

According to Becky TPW are set at 3300
|
I have had a TPW at 3000 that remained true to build and I have had a TPW at 3300 that did not. Usually when you get a TPW at 3300 it sticks, but as I have seen in the past on other cars and as you are seeing in the present with the Stingray, certainty is not the name of the game.
We know two things: Chevrolet has not announced an official start of production date which occurs several weeks before the start AND no one has gone to 3400, which happens in the week before the vehicle is produced and which must happen so the little stickers with the VIN can be printed and certain parts stamped with the VIN. There is no one acquainted with the ordering process who will contradict these statements and the changeability is probably one reason I have ordered so many in the past and the frustration of the process is why I often vow to never do a retail sold order again. A vow I have often broken but this time I am sticking to it, at least until I decide to order again. Laborsmith |

Anyone hear about the carbon fiber dash (FAY) being on back order and anyone who has it on their order will get delayed?
|
Route 66
I am finally also 3000 as of 7-18 order # QZTFS8. I started out on waiting list to order in Feb.. About the carbon fiber dash I was told last week by my dealer GM does not have enough to supply all orders and I was told my car was in the group that will get one.
Finally 3300 now the wait for production dates. Thank You Becky for all the checkin. |

I'm at 3000 as of 7/18, but I'm not going to get to excited till some of these things are actually being built!
|
Yep when u see someone goto 3400 time to get excited
|
3400 is what all are looking for and no one has achieved. 3300 usually has a TPW subject to change. I've had a TPW at 3000 and as I posted on one order I had a TPW that did not change though the car was produced over two weeks AFTER. But once there are some reported 3400s, then we will know production will start within a week or ten days.
I think if we look at the status level changes as an indication of progress and not as anything more, we will feel better. I suspect the plant is starting to look more organized and more ready to start regular production each day that passes. I still think production will start on August 5, but will not know if I am right until August 6. If the Stingray did not have so many unique parts we could be more certain about when it would start being made. But if it did not, would it be a Corvette Stingray and would there be several hundred people laying down deposits for it? Laborsmith |
I'm at 3300 now and still no TPW. I'm not sweating it too much, but to see some start rolling off the line would be encouraging. I hope you're right about the Aug 5 start date.
