what about convertibles

I think they will only have canvas ones.

;) The new 'vert will not be a retractable hardtop. Two reasons; Cost, and weight.

Weight is already an issue, and to keep the Camaro "in line" price wise with the Mustang, a soft top is only possible.

Yeah thats exactly what I was thinking

Only wishing here....I'd love to see a removable hardtop. I know...I know...it's not possible. But THAT, would be sweet!

If they are planning on unveiling a convertible Camaro at the NAIAS, do you think it will represent more of what the production model will look like, or will it just be a convertible version of the concept?

If they were wise, they would present something close to a production convertible top. So they only have to modify it slightly to fit the production car. There are probably specialty companies who could produce a top mechanism immediately.

I don't think they would present a convertible if the top was just chopped off and their was no actual top.
