Coupe or Convertible Corvette Stingray for you?
Which is more sexy? I think a Night Race Blue vert, blue top, grey interior, silver torque rims is the sexiest combo. Well this week I think that ,it will change.:thumb:

I always prefer a coupe, especially with the C7 since you can just take the top off and pretty much turn it into a convertible anyway. I like my privacy and don't care about how verts look with the roof up but that's just me.
But if you like verts more then go for it. The C7 is a beautiful car no matter how you order it. |

First off, to each their own, but since you're asking.
My preference has always been a coupe, on a vette, since it comes with a removeable targa roof, and you get the best of both worlds. I always find that convertables are too high maintence, keeping the material in good condition, the mechanical aspect if it breaks, and depending where you live, how often do actually get to drive with the top down, etc. Whatever you choose, enjoy the ride. :thumb: |
And you lose the rear air vents, must get in the way of the top when it's down

I think you have the rear vents on the convertible as well. pretty sure I saw a pic of that- but if you can prove me wrong I wont deny it. |

Coupe. Convertibles aren't for me.

Thanks for the response you all, the C7 is such a great looking car. They really did a wonderful update for the Vette. So coupe or convertible it ALL good.
|
Coupe, please.
|
Topless please! :D (Convertible)

For what the car can do - coupe. But I don't believe in the notion of taking the top of the coupe as being the same as a vert. I've had a few non-convertibles where you can remove the top and after taking them off it go old for two reasons. 1. Wind 2. All that work to remove and place in the truck to again get that wind.
Verts do not bring in no where the same amount of wind into the cabin like targa and ttops. |
Red & Black Vert is the best of the best
Picture yourself rolling into a Vette confab thus equiped to kill: This is what I have on order in Reds and Blacks - Lots of Reds, but I figure the Blacks shall balance out and compliment the Reds Convertible Z51 w/Black Top Torch Red 3LT w/Adrenaline Red Interior Red Calipers Black Wheels Carbon Fiber Interior Dash (Black) Carbon Flash Outside Mirrors and Spoiler (Black) Carbon Flash Hood Stinger (Black) Front Cover (Black) - For Across Country Travel to National Parks 7 Speed Magnetic Selective Ride Control Performance Exhaust Personalized Plaque Custom Sill Plates Stingray Logo Center Wheel Caps Front License Plate Bracket Battery Protection Package Premium Floor Mats Cargo Mat Stingray Outdoor Cover Stingray Indoor Cover All for around $73K You can see why my dealer was more than willing to give me $1,000 below MSRP |
Best option, get both then you just have to decide which one you're going to drive!! :pound:

I live in FL. I have had convertibles since 1998. I am going with the convertible. I have not gotten my allocation yet, but my current thinking is midnight racing blue, khalari (tan) interior and top. I am also considering the cyber metal. I think it will be very popular and am leaning toward the blue to stand out a little more

Two things about the Vert I like over the Coupe. 1st - It has about the coolest opening/closing top ever that shall attract much attention especially when opening and closing it at 30MPH. 2nd - I am partial to trunk lids over hatches, and the C7 has a nicely sculptured lid that outdoes the hatch.
|
Gotta be the vert. But I may think differently after I see the targa top, how long it takes to remove/install it & how it secures in the trunk when it's off.
After having problems with my Camaro vert (3 fabric tops & 1 frame replacement), I'm gonna wait until the 2d year of C7 verts is out before I even TRY to think about getting one. I'll be in my last 2 years of payments on the camaro & may be able to actually get some trade in value from it. But that means the C7 would be my DD - I don't know if I'd want to do that. I'd end up getting divorced because I'd be spending so much time in that car..... |

Good luck with the big decision. |
Love the lines of the coupe! but when the top comes down the price goes up! lol

Had a coupe for 8-months and its lines looks really nice... I'd get a coupe again but currently I'm rollling on a 'vert.
https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5585/...e4651ac6_b.jpg It's a win-win, IMO. So I like them both... yet as others stated the convertible with its top dropped is simply dropdead gorgeous. https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2937/...f29e6064_b.jpg |
When I was shopping around and still the truth today, dealers are more willing to discount the convertible than the coupe. Conv offer 3000 off msrp but not the coupe
Supply vs demand but in this cars case not a big difference |
I like the coupe personally, but both look good
hard choice. |
Go topless :first:

I have the vert Night Rave Blue with Khalari interior and top.

When the C7 came out, I thought the coupe was amazing to look at. While I still prefer the looks a bit over the 'vert, I am really tired of dealing with the top on my C6 coupe. I know the C7 top is half the weight but it is still a large awkward slab to move around so I'm aiming for a 2015 C7 vert.
