Z51 different gearing? faster acceleration?
 

Will the Z51 feature different gearing than a non Z51 base C7?

Assuming it does, that means it should have better acceleration numbers?

Unknown yet, the GS on the current C6 has different gearing i believe and goes 0-60 in 3.95 compared to 4.2 for the base.

It all depends on price, the Z51 has more coolers, brake upgrades, i wouldn't be surprised if they changed the gearing though.

I think so, In the brochure If you look under packages you will see performance gear ratios as one of the features of the z51 package.

The manual will have the same ratios as the C6, just with a much taller 3rd overdrive for 7th gear. GS/Z51 ratios are shorter for 1-4 compared to the base 'Vette. Should get off the line a little quicker from a dig?
