Not that I agree with the decision, but is it really going to affect a large number of people?
I know for me, I'm going to hit the 5yr limit long before the 100k or even 60k limit. If a smaller percentage of owners daily-drive their cars, and an even smaller percentage of that pool have powertrain problems.. how many people will it truly affect? (Note: that logic can also be applied to "why not keep it 100k then" as well) |
Seeing how I just had my engine replaced for excessive oil consumption, warranty might be an issue.
Likely nearly all corvette drivers don't exceed 60k miles over 5yrs which means that reducing 100k to 60k saves them very little money. What this does is reduce GM's credibility for producing a quality car. |
