Got the stock 5 spoke wheels powder coated black.
Got the stock wheels powder coated. Cost for powder coating was $300, but I paid an extra $100 to get them to expedite them and get them back in 24 hours.
Also went with these center caps. http://www.shopchevyparts.com/wheels...-92279714.html Before. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...ps81a4a187.jpg After. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...psd561b7b7.jpg http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...ps3920ccf5.jpg http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...pse8cd0395.jpg http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...psd5dfde94.jpg |
Looks great!!!

Nice job! It contrasts with the vents quite well. I was contemplating the same had I gone the non-Z51 route, and if I didn't like the stock silvers as well.
Post some close up pics too IYDM. I think the gray calipers stand out even more now... cool! :thumb: |
Added more pics.

That looks fantastic!

I was waiting for someone to do this...awesome! On my non-Z51 cyber grey coupe, I would do exactly the same. Enjoy!

Black wheels are the only way on the new stingray. Turns the whole look aggressive.

What are your thoughts on powdercoating vs. plastidipping?

RedVett,
Black definitely looks better in my opinion! Congrats. Wonder what it would look like if the word "Corvette" was filled in with RED paint? I saw a set of Black Techart rims on a red Porsche once with just the word Techart filled in with red. It was very subtle but looked awesome.... Wonder if anyone has done that? Sorry, just rambling. They look great! |
