Tampa Bay emptying out was a sight to see.

Hoping for the best to those in Irma's path.

Hey Spike - Great news about your daughter and grand kids!

Jacksonville was hit pretty hard. As a Native Floridian - I've been through every Hurricane to hit this State since 1957. Irma was definitely one of the worst! About 80% of Jacksonville is currently without power.

Luckily, I do not live in a flood or evacuation zone. I'm definitely going to look into a Generac System to power the house in case of future events like this.

My entire family is all safe - Thanks for the prayers - Much Appreciated!!!

I used to live in Tampa and have been down Bayshore Blvd many times. Yes, that was something that I have never seen before! Fun Fact - The sidewalk along Bayshore Blvd is the Longest Continuous Sidewalk in the World.

Jan - Have you heard from your daughter? I haven't had power since 5am so I do not know the track Irma has taken.

RubyCamaro 09-11-2017 07:51 PM

She is fine. No power since 8:00 AM but has a generator & plenty of supplies. She has no significant damage at her place but there is in her town. Hope you & she get power back on ASAP.

ragzl1 09-11-2017 09:20 PM

Trick -- glad you made it intact. Looks like you are going to be "camping" until you can get power on again.

Jan --- glad your family is safe !!

Thanks John! Janice, the pups, and I spent the night with my parents. They live about 2 miles from us and they never lost power. Hoping that we get power back today.

No flooding in my area - But the retention pond behind my house is as high as I've ever seen it!

RubyCamaro 09-12-2017 09:08 PM

Glad most of the crew here seem to be okay. Hope others we may not have heard from yet are also healthy & doing okay. Speedy recovery to everyone.

This is Whitey's Fish Camp. A nice place on the river that I like to boat to and eat lunch. The Tiki Huts on the left is usually where I sit.....

Thxs trick truck was painted in 1998. Only saw snow when I bought it the first 3 months. Still has original brakes & pads on it 36,000 miles original interior. No bondo or fiber glasss in this truck. Only trailered once to Dale Earnhart Industries in 2004. for a truck show.

This is the retention pond behind my house Monday morning. It was completely full. Water was actually flowing out of the storm drains on to the street in front of my house.

That's as high as it's ever been in the 23 years that I've lived in this house.

Trick --- I am going to go out on a limb and say you did not build that decorative fence so that it disappears into the water just for effect. That is a lot of water. Is it having trouble leaving or is still being feed water from somewhere else ??

Skip --- That is a great pickup, many neat touches everywhere. The bow tie exhaust tips are neat.

John

Headed out to St Louis yesterday morning to see U2. Got almost there & got a message they the concert had been cancelled. Turned around & went to Harrah's Metropolis. No luck at the machines but a pretty good band at the bar & had a few drinks. 2 words. Stupid rioters!

Went to Mid America Motorworks Corvette Fun Fest with the 57. The President of the solid axle corvette club of America picked mine out. They have about 40 judges from different backgrounds pick their car each day. However, the best part was when I was driving back to my club parking spot I got a chance to stop by this 63 for a comparison picture attached.

One of the best car shows I been to in a long time. I haven't taken my truck to this show since getting my camaro in 2010. A beautiful weather weekend in the mid 80's. So we went to this show yesterday with the truck. I like getting there early to get a good spot & get the vehicle cleaned before the visiting crowd gets there.
They had their biggest crowd in the 40 years of the show. There was no classes. Top 10 awards plus top 30 in the show. They had around 600 vehicles cars, trucks, motor cycles the highest number I heard was 576. They do the judging & I got one of the the top 30.:happy0180::first:

John - It's a retention pond so the only source of water is from rain - Thank Goodness! Here's a pic that I took yesterday and it back to normal level.

The weather up here is very unsual. No rain in the last 7 days. None predicted for the next week. And we have had mid 80's for the same length and still going. :clap2:

And day light saving time isn't untill Nov.5th. And I absolutely hate DLS Time.

Old Timer Doing a Procharger

I currently have a 2013 L99 2SS vert (10K miles) with Stainless Works headers and cats, as well as an Airaid CAI. At the end of next month (Oct), it goes in for a Procharger install. Please note that I will not be racing/competing and it's all about running around town acting the fool that I probably am (turned 77 last Thursday).

My question is this: What cam should I go with? I would really like to get rid of the AFM permanently and currently use a plugin module to beat the 4 cylinder business. I understand that there is a bevy of gasket kits and such to eliminate the thing, but for a few extra bucks it could be done right.

Your impressions and comments are most welcome.
