I think the small stuff will always be desirable. But some of the large stuff, like furniture, will be difficult to sell.

Glad you got to take a nice drive. It was rainy and cold here all weekend. My rain gauge collected 2 1/2" of rain over the weekend.

Trickskier 02-20-2017 09:49 AM

WOW - That's one heck of an antique store!!! Lots of good stuff!

Have fun at Daytona!

Visited an audiologist today for my hearing loss and tinnitus. A hearing aid may be in my distant future, but may not benefit me as of now.

Old Fart made Happy again

Hello Gentleman,
My birthday was yesterday and the wife surprised me with a great present. 2015 Blue Velvet Metallic RS Camaro. I gave up my 78 Trans Am when my daughter was born in 1995 but asked her to have a sports car again "one day". The card said Happy "one day" I am 57 and felt like a kid today driving my car. Spent some time looking on Websites for accessories and add ons. Not my first Camaro I drove my father's '68 Z28 until I traded it for a boat (dumbass) as my father referred to me at the time. Going to do alot of reading on this site. Was looking at this car for nearly a month but didn't think it was going to happen. :eyebulge:

Welker2 02-22-2017 06:46 PM

Welcome and happy birthday Spocktwin ... what a great BD gift, I'm sure you will enjoy it for many years to come :happy0180:

Spocktwin 02-22-2017 07:34 PM

thanks Welker! It is great to be the car the folks are turning their head at instead of me turning my head at their Camaro. Amazing how good a real car can make you feel.
I plan on spending alot of time here.

Welker2 02-22-2017 08:00 PM

I know the feeling, have had mine for a while now and still get lots of people coming up to me parking lots and other places to talk about it & cars in general.

I spend a lot of time on the forum as well, it's a great place to learn, share and just have a good time ... there are a lot of great folks here, but get ready for some ribbing every now and then, most if it is all in fun :happy0180:

I have the same issue. I was just saying to Mike this morning that I need to go get my hearing checked. Loud sounds really bother me (blender, vacuum, the cafeteria at school, etc), tinnitus bothers me, have a hard time hearing especially if there is any noise at all. Glad you don't need a hearing aid yet.

Great birthday present! Congrats. Welcome aboard. Lots of great folks hang around here. Happy modding the new permagrin producing fountain-of-youth machine.

Hello everyone i have been absent for a while but nothing has been going on. It has been a fairly mild winter around here so that is good. Worked on the Camaro a bit last weekend was going to do a brake job but I think I have at least one more season on them so I skipped it and just installed the new caliper covers instead. That will be it for a few more weeks as I have to travel to our Provo Utah office on Thursday and work there for a week. Then we will likely drive to Florida to see Jackies parents so it will be April before I get a chance to change the grills and wheels.

Welcome to the group Spocktwin ,

Trickskier , enjoy Daytona ...

Rick great pictures and that is a lot of stuff for sale ..

today at the cottage the snow has melted in the last week so Idecided to pickup the branches that have come down over the winter , then it started to snow and now the ground is covered..
I think mother nature says winter is not over yet .

looking forward to next wknd I will fly into Tampa and meet my wife , stay at the inlaws and the following wknd attend the St Petersburg Indy car grand prix .. then fly back to Canada mid week ..My wife will stay till the end of march ....

The last time that I was in florida I saw a Hot wheels special edition from a distance , then 2 mths later I bought one ..I think someone who shall remain nameless will tell me not to get any other ideas ..

Spocktwin 02-26-2017 10:49 AM

thanks, wanting some warm weather

Thanks for the welcome. Northern Ohio is such a tease, we had 77 degrees here on Friday and today it is 33. I am so itching to do some work on the car but need to wait for warmer times. I need more consistent heat in the garage so maybe my first project is giving the new baby a nice place to sleep. The paint needs some TLC (I grew up in a body shop but times have changed so any advice is welcome). My wife says he has not seen me since I shed a tear when the Trans Am left the drive way.....and says "Oh God what have I done?" lol:smiling1:

SPOCKTWIN ---- Welcome !!!

Trick ---- Daytona was a crash fest... I had Kyle Busch in the pool so I went out early. Hope you had a good trip.

Rick ---- The new dash looks great !!!

Spike ---- I like your signature. It is cool !!!

Richard ---- I do not know,,,, but a new blue ZL1 would be the bomb!!! Keep that crappy white stuff up your way. It is so warm that we have storms coming tonight (tuesday).

Not much going on around this neck of the woods (corn fields). Temps have been mild and have been able to get the cars out for short exercises. That is always a plus for February.

John

I'm going to be 69 in a couple of weeks and just bought my, new for me, 2015 Camaro 2SS with 5861 miles on it. Summit white with orange stripes and inferno orange interior/seats.
I'm an old fart, but regressing into a 12 year old because of this Camaro and the fervent search for it! I've tried to get pictures of it up on here but have failed numerous times.
Too old to figure out ( although I was successful at it on the Lincoln Town car forum ) how to do it. I'd appreciate any help that from a "young person" here on the forum.
Thanks!!

Welcome Bflat10r

great picture Rick and Trickskier

John I think my wife would have something to say about a new blue ZL1

RubyCamaro 03-01-2017 07:32 AM

Hey crew! Back is getting better. Still have to be careful. Daughter was in town for the weekend & enjoyed spending time with her. She still has struggles from her surgery & cancer treatments but so far cancer free. So happy about that. We had some pretty strong storms roll through just now but no damage we can see from inside the house. Schools delayed 2 hours to prevent kids & buses being out in it. Still, time for me to get moving. HAGD

Hi All;

I'll be 69 in two weeks and yes, I'm going on 12 also. Bought a 2012 SS (45th Anniversary) four years ago.. Did some mods, then hit the track with my son. Liked the 5th gen Camaro so much, gave it to him and bought myself a 2015 Z/28. Have 11 track days on it. Put in headers last season, and have put in a comp cam recently. The thing is wicked. I'm amazed at how well it does as a DD on street tires. I drive the crap out of it, whenever I can.
Most fun I've had since college when I had a candy-apple red '69 Mustang with the Cleveland 351 under the hood.Manual tranny. Remember an epic, midnight run across the state of Nebraska, never dipping below 90 mph, most of the time running at 100 mph. Now, of course, I'd never recommend this to the younger folks on the forum! Back in the day, everyone did stuff like that..

Welcome aboard XTREMZ! Love that you are having so much fun with the Fountain-of-Youth Camaros!

beflat10r 03-05-2017 12:18 PM

Thanks for the welcomes!!
I'm a novice here and with my Camaro and I never owned a 'muscle car'.
It's kinda weird though that I'm looking and thinking about cold air intakes and Borla exhaust systems and in the fall getting some all season tires. The Camaro is possessing me?
But not like the Plymouth in 'Christine'!!

RubyCamaro 03-05-2017 04:53 PM

My Camaro possessed & changed me too. Welcome to the permagrin family.

18LTLoveIt 03-06-2017 02:35 AM

Old Fart Club? What's the minimum age? I'm 52 and driving retro muscle since 43.

7.5 yrs Mustang Pony Pkg(2008 new) and 1.75 yrs Camaro 1.5LT Vert (2013 used)
