Happy Friday I will be in North Carolina all of next week. That means I have a lot of yard work I need to get done this weekend.

That's all your fault for spending all that time in. Oh where you . That's right in Cleveland.:sad0147::iono:

Hi crew. Mike & I had a nice day today. Just some shopping, a movie & out to eat. Here is a pic of the last of my roses for the year. We already had a couple of light frosts but freeze warning tonight through the next few nights so I brought in the last of them.

Spent my day cleaning out my closet & organizing my crafting stuff. I purged a lot of old clothes from my closet & some I will never again be small enough to fit into. It looks much better and I can actually find the things I can wear and my craft stuff now. Here is a pic of the bags of purged stuff.

I tried to get some pics of the supermoon but between my phone not taking good night pics & the haze from the smoke from wildfires, they were lousy. I'll try tomorrow with the good camera.

Good Luck Rick!

69supersport396 11-18-2016 12:26 AM

And then there was one......

All I have is 2012 Camaro now, at least for now. Not that I am complaining. ;)

So far, I am good with selling the Chevelle. The $$$ in the bank might have something to do with it. I'll post a couple of pics Friday.

zandron263 11-18-2016 06:46 AM

Congrats Rick. I am sure it was not an easy decision to sell. Your Chevelle was beautiful I hope the new owner loves and takes care of it the way you did.

Saying by goodbyes! My wofemreminded.me I owned this car 2/3 of my life, 36 years.

70rsz28 11-18-2016 08:48 PM

Rick congrats on the sale , I know it's not easy seeing it go . when I sold my vette I had to sell it to someone I did not know. mainly because I did not want to see it around town..

thinking about something else ???

69supersport396 11-19-2016 12:18 AM

Yes, I did not want this sold locally, as I did not want to see it again. All of the pictures, awards, and other things are OK. Might sell some of it.

If all goes well, I'll pay for my next car Monday. However, I'm finding transport has gone up significantly since 2010 when I moved out here.

Been miling up the Camaro. :headbang:

Not a bad morning here in central New York our first snow of the year. Temperature 27 wind chill 19. Various depths of snow 12 to 30 inches. The only bad part is the stuff is heavy. Neighbors all had some fun with quotes of why the hell are you getting your snow blower out already. But I guess the laugh is on them. Always think ahead P.M. preventive maintenance.

Rained here all day yesterday and will continue into this morning. We need it though. I worked in the garage all day.

I sure did accumulate lots of Chevelle parts over the years. Time for a garage sale.

Congratulations on the sale Rick - 36 years, it had to be tough loading her up.....

69supersport396 11-22-2016 09:12 PM

At first it was. However, I've been extremely busy buying the replacement old car, arranging transport, and buying some small stuff it needs.

I should have it on or before 12/10. :clap2:

Rick --- Man I do not know how you could sell it. Glad you can make heads or tails of it. Looking forward to your next one is a real plus. Man, I do not think I could part with one of mine. Anxious waiting to see your replacement.

Had the white walls turned inside on the 69. Been wanting to do that since I got it. White letters sometime in the future. Got other irons to be taken out of the fire first.

I think it was time. Right now, I have no regrets. I'll announce it when it arrives. But I did post a photo a few weeks ago.

Is your 69 Lemans Blue. That looks nice. Wish I could find pics of my Glacier Blue 69.

My first replacement old car arrived yesterday.

That is a spare tire bolt for a _______. Dam it looks familiar. But don't all of them look about the same really.

Mine is Glacier Blue. My first one was Azure Blue that had a little green in it.

I liked it a lot, and it won't require much to "make it mine". Oh, and the working AC will definitely be appreciated here in AZ.

The proceeds from the Chevelle bought this 66, paid off the Camaro, will pay for some things I need for the Caprice, and put some extra $$ in our bank account. Christmas came early.

zandron263 11-23-2016 07:11 PM

Nice Rick. I had a similar financial year. Got a nice bonus over the summer that paid for the Camaro mods I will be working on this winter. Then I bought extra playoff tickets for all of the Indians games. That allowed me to go to the games for free and put enough aside to put a down payment on a new SUV for my wife. We want to try and get one last winter out of our beater Escape before we buy it but if it dies I don't have to worry now.

ragzl1 11-23-2016 07:15 PM

Rick --- Looks great!!! Like those wheels. The chrome trim rings look like rally wheels.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Nice purchase Rick! Sounds like a pretty good financial year for some of us Old Farts. Finally settling our parents estate allowed my sisters & I to all become debt free & put away a good bit for retirement. Sad way to financial freedom but thankful for it. It is interesting but sort of sad to see what someone else did to our family home & the mini farm we worked so hard on is turning into a nice subdivision. I am amazed that my parents managed to go from having nothing to planning well enough for both of them to be well cared for through their final years & serious illnesses and that much left over. I am sure missing my parents today though. My Facebook memory this morning made me cry but I am so glad I recorded it. Dad was already in assisted living & this was the last Thanksgiving we had outside the facility as a family. Dad had lost a lot of his mental capacity but could still say grace. Here is is. Happy Thanksgiving to all my Old Fart friends.

What a wonderful memory to have recorded. I wish I had something from my parents. Jackie and I had a nice Thanksgiving dinner by ourselves today. We found a small Turkey and made all of the usual side dishes. We even made a plate of Turkey for each of our Dachshunds as a treat and we have leftovers for another meal or two. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.

Great video Jan.

zandron263 11-25-2016 09:57 AM

I just bought my new wheels. I decided on chrome ZL1 replicas. Estimated delivery is next Thursday but I won't mount them till sometime over the winter. I have a lot of changes for the Camaro this winter with the new wheels and new upper and lower grill. I decided on chrome since it will no longer be a DD and should only come out of the garage on sunny days. I will post some before and after pictures once I start working on it.

Another Caprice part arrived today, so I decided to make my own Charlie Brown Christmas tree.

My trip to the MVD was extremely pleasant, really. No waiting! Got my new title and license plate for the Caprice. The guy that handled my transactions was a car guy and complimented me on buying such a low mileage Chevy.

69supersport396 11-25-2016 11:48 PM

...and my photo is sideways again! :noidea:

zandron263 11-26-2016 06:43 AM

That picture brings back some memories. It's been a long time since I owned car that had a bumper jack.
