Help: Questions about Options

Hello. I am picking up my C7 this weekend and am doing the finance through the dealer. They try to sell me the Options such as: Service Contract, LoJack, Tire Road Hazard, Gap, Maintenance, etc. Do anyone buy any of these options or which options should I get? They are expensive too! What y'all think I should do or just reject with out them?

Thanks!

To each their own but I personally reject those non-essential extra-cost items... back end options, service related, insurance related, etc. Just enjoy your C7 and take good care of it.

I agree, they're mainly ADP items for the dealer. save your money (my opinion)

GAP insurance is one thing I did purchase on my last vehicle. It protects you in case your car is totaled. Let's say you owe $50,000 on the car, but it's only worth $45,000, so the insurance will pay only $45,000. The GAP insurance will cover the $5,000 difference.

If you put a huge deposit on the car, $20,000+, I would say don't bother with GAP.

I work for a dealer,BUY GAP FOR SURE!!! I recommend buying tire and wheel because if for any reason your tires or wheels are damaged they are replaced. If you are going to be servicing the car at dealerships why not buy the extended maintence. but lojack is a waste on these new cars you can have onstar track the car down.

How can I set the soft top color?

Hey guys, I'm from Brazil and I've been trying to setup my corvette configs so I can send it to my importer/dealer but I didn't find the feature that changes soft top color, it is always black and I want kalahari. Where is this feature on the builder at corvette.com? I apologize for my bad english, hope you guys can understand my question.

Can you elaborate on this? What qualifies as "damage"?

It depends on the company the warranty is through, Ive seen wheels covered after being curbed, cracked, dented, and tires being replaced after slashing, nails, and any serious damage too them. Don't expect your wheel and tire warranty to cover your tires wearing out the tread after a ton of driving.

I'd be interested in something that covered curb rash. I've never curbed a wheel but the wife has. :(

Totally agree reject these, this is where the dealership takes on the money.
Take care of your car and enjoy it. That is what I do.

I bought the wheel and Tire, and it also covers one windshield replacement...but on mine if I curb a wheel or hit a piece of metal on the Hwy and ruin a tire or two- its covered....one C7 not on the site got two tires and a wheel replaced when a tow bar came off a truck and car being towed a few minutes earlier- he hit it and it was covered. but Im not trying to sell it just give you facts-
