I was told today by Chevy customer service that they have started production and in order to complete thousands of orders they have shut down one plant so they may have enough workers to work around the clock to have them produced on time... The rep has informed me that although production has started they are going at a very slow pace but we should have some available TPW's by mid next week

Chevy customer service told me today that I did not have a TPW, nor had any cars started to be built.

Seems that the Aug 5 date has past. Think I could say told you so to a few. A statement did come out today that when production did start they would be no press release. October deliveries is my hunch so take it what you will.

Possible Sept. Build
I posted something from my dealer yesterday under order status showing Sept. 2nd build week and delivery week of Sept. 30th. I got no response though if anyone had ever seen a form like this. Also my car is supposed to be one of the FAY optioned cars so early build groups. Of course all dates are subject to change.

My car says queued for production. Can anyone explain what that means in more detail?
Thanks |
You have an order that has been submitted and accepted (2000 then 2500) and has been forwarded to the factory in order for parts to be ordered to prepare for production (3000).
Next few steps are 3100 then 3300 then 3400 (3400 means the order is broadcast so the labels with VINs can be printed, following which 3800 (produced) AND VIN. 3400 means the holy grail is within sight. There is not a lot of difference between 3000, 3100 and 3300 and one can go back and forth the closer to production one gets as 3400 is dependent on all the parts being at hand. IE: your order includes say a contrasting stitched steering wheel and until one is at hand you will not go to 3400. 3000 is good and is better now than in June because in June 3000 was nothing more than conjecture and now is conjecture with elements of fact to make it more real. I can't wait to get to this point. Shouldn't have kicked getting a ZL-1 around so much. I could be at 3000 by now, I think. Anyway...good luck to all of you. I hope to join ya soon!

Does anyone know if the Captured Fleet has reached thier set mileage point yet? I know when I orderd my ZL1, production of those cars got pushed back a week or 2 because the captured fleet had not reached their mielage point yet. Until the capture fleet has reached their mileage point nothing gets built, or so I am told.

I live near the tech center and my Stingray sightings have dropped precipitously. I saw either two white ones or the same white one twice over a week ago and the only yellow one that I have seen about two days ago. I suspect the testing is over.

There has been confirmed 3400's reported on other forums and for those who are still at 1100 there is a consensus set for the 22nd of this month which is also the first batch of verts to get picked up as well
