2013 Mustang GT500 MEGA THREAD
|
The Ford Mustang is a great car, but the Chevy Camaro is something else. Great video, thanks for sharing!
|
Cool vid though

I wander why its not compared to the GT500?

Here's the original thread about this video. Thread was getting way out of control:

I love these two cars side by side.

Formerly ZL1 vs. 2013 GT500
The new GT500 looks like a beast... i wonder how it will do against the ZL1 as far as handling?

Could this be an alternative to a Nissan GT-R?

I found this interesting ...
" Ford will govern the top speed of the convertible to 155 mph or so, the current Shelby’s speed limit. The heavier convertible has a softer suspension and no rollover hoop. It’s also likely that the Shelby coupe without the Performance and Track packages may be governed, due to cooling issues—the Track package adds engine-, transmission-, and differential-lubricant coolers. After all, SVT says the Shelby coupe weighs 3850 pounds, and its powertrain generates a lot of heat. " |
i imagine top end runs will indeed generate a lot of heat, espcially with how long it would take to even try to get there.

The numbers released are insane ...
I know most people say "it won't handle and has no traction" , but I'm very very interested to the real life times. This seems like a FORD GT in a mustang . Magazine says 11.5 ? If this beast puts down numbers like that , I'm sure GT500 owners could give a squat about handling. Who autocrosses ? Will there be a right turn contest with the zl1 ? Wouldn't surprise me if the 13' ZL1 gets a nice bump in HP. |
"Ford says that the GT500′s supercharged 5.8-liter V-8 is now the most powerful production V-8 in the world"
That's one hell of a statement ... when is this car going to hit the streets ? And is the new argument "ZR1 vs GT500" ? |
