MT sept issue - first test

3.9 0-60, 12.2 @ 117.something and 104 ft 60-0. Oh, 1.14 g on the skidpad. They said a huge improvement in the interior, the slushbox was pretty good, Z51 package "a little jarring on public roads" and loved the mag shocks on the track. Hopefully my paper issue will get here soon so I can scan. Got this from cf.com - someone got their iPad issue with the first released testing results. Guess this means the embargo is lifted and we should see more test numbers soon from the other guys.

thinking once people have them u will see 11.8 quarter miles

1.14G skidpad an instant because that seems really high for average

it was 1.11g on the skidpad and 12.2 @ 117.3 through the trap. I take those as pretty average numbers. Will be very interesting to see what the other major rags get (C&D, R&T, Automobile, etc.). Not sure what the slushbox will be able to do in the 1/4. They note that using LC the 0-60 times (8 runs total, 4 with LC, 4 w/o) were within 0.1 sec of each other. Best launch was w/o LC engaged though, 2,800 rpms and some nifty footwork to get the best hook. Knocked 0.1 minimum off the best launch control effort. Sounds almost identical to today's C6 GS - any idiot can bang off practically perfect 4 second runs time after time with the launch control. A really good driver can improve slightly going full manual. PTM remains the shitz on the track and probably only Jim Mero would stand a chance of bettering it. PTM adjustments seem to be an evolution of the current ZL1 setup except you also get the eLSD in the mix as well now.

yeah i got a high HP camaro.. hooking is hard..
wonder if they doing these 0-60 and quarter mile runs on drag strip or regular road.. and wonder if these times corrected for perfect weather and altitude.. magazines usually do that

They did testing at a variety of locations but sounds like the instrumented stuff was at California speedway. I would anticipate that those are corrected numbers - yes, the major rags do that. Here in my neck of the woods (Maryland) you've got Budd's Creek (MD Int'l) @ 80' so numbers will be significantly different there.

Thanks for sharing, tried doing a search online to see if someone scanned it, but didn't find anything.

Can't wait to start reading more about the vehicle. I'm set on one, just may have to wait a year.

these are all from iPad digital subscriptions that people have done screen shots with. I expect paper versions to hit my mailbox very soon (usually there's about a week's lag). They'll all be September issues. I would also expect video reviews to start hitting youtube in the not too distant future. The major mags got first dibs on the pre-production pilot cars obviously but they've also got a 90 day lead requirement to get published on time. With all those out of the way, the test cars can begin making the rounds to the rest of the blog-o-sphere. Appears TPWs (production scheduled weeks) are starting for actual consumer cars to be sold.

Short version? Mr. Hendricks should be getting his $1,000,000 serial number 001 Corvette Stingray from Bowling Green pretty soon ;)

OK - here's a direct link to the MT review. Hopefully C&D, R/T and Automobile aren't far behind.
