14' C7 Buyers To Get $1500 Ron Fellows Discount

Well this is pretty cool -- Buyers of 2014 Corvette Stingrays get a $1,500 discount at Ron Fellows Performance Driving School. The two day course is $2500 so you'll still have to fork over a cool grand, but you'll learn how to get the most out of your new vette. :thumb:

That's cool. That just might make this move a little higher on my bucket list. :thumb:

Hmmm I was contemplating doing this but didn't want to pay $2500. Off to register :)

They quote in the promo on their website...You are using our car...our gas...our tires...so push it hard to see what the C7 can do.

This is awesome. Can you guys provide a direct link so I can read up on this. Is there only one school/track? If so where is it located? Thanks again.

There is only the one location in Parhump, Nevada. About 45 minutes north of Las Vegas. It's Ron Fellows' Spring Mountain track & resort, where all the sales people have been going for their C7 training. And according to what I've seen, the discount is only good for the original owner, and for the first 12 months of ownership. Those of us who already have our cars get the 12 months as of today. The discount is also only good for one person. If your spouse or best wish to attend class, they pay the full price. Still a great deal. I'm registering as soon as I find out my vacation availability this week!

I was there in Oct. 2012 for the 3-day school. I tagged along to record the training for a friend who won the 3-day session. I got all the classroom instruction and all the rides, as a passenger, I could take at no charge. I paid for my room and meals.
I recommend this to anyone who has the time and money. The $1,500 discount offered is a nice incentive.

Thanks so much for the info Purp, definitely something I think I should do. Before doing that I need to get a SCCA license or equivalent it states. Is that a big deal to do?

This is cool. Also read it this morning on yahoo. Thanks Ron Fellows & Spring Mtn! :clap2:

I'm in!

I hope this discount is continued for 2015 Corvette owners. Out of the approximate 25 to 30,000 2014 Corvette owners, it will be interesting to see how many take advantage of the driving school discount.

Zimm, the Corvette Owners School does NOT require an SCCA license! It is a special series of Level 1 courses specific for new Corvette owners. I think you were looking at the Corvette School, which is a different series (though they both use Corvettes). In either series, the Level 1 is required to take a Level 2 class, and so on. There is a seperate series of classes specific to obtaining an SCCA license, which could then count as a Level 1 class if you wanted to take a Level 2 or 3 class.

I'm in the process of finding out some class dates for the fall, as my job makes it a bit challenging to take a lot of time off in the late spring/summer.

Thx again for the info purp, you're the best! There should be a way of leaving rep for people on this forum
