2014 Corvette Stingray Front License Plate Bracket
This was posted on GMI. Actually a fairly seamless solution for states that require a front license plate. And functional, as well.

It's so funny how it's that simple, but took so long for automakers to think of it.
|
Not gonna lie, even if I do move out of Ohio, if I got a Corvette I might still look into getting one for the hell of it depending on how it looks in person.
|
Actually doesn't ruin the front of the. I think they did a good job with it

Working on it for months now. :p

Finally an OEM front plate solution that doesn't look absolutely horrid and is easy on/off.
That said, I still wouldn't put it on lol (my state does require it). |
We don't have it on our Terrain. Dealer mentioned drilling and I immediately said no.

Very Nice

Nice solution to a whole lot of bitching! :D

It's about time they actually considered it as part of the design... |
The C5s had a similar concept. A cutout in the front fascia you could remove for a front plate.
Not as seamless as this, though. |

I think that looks really nice. Of course, a contrasting color plate will still take away from the look of the front of the car. It's the best solution I've seen yet though.
|
I'll actually be happy to rock my C7 with a front vanity plate! :happyanim:
|
That looks great. GM did a great job fixing this issue.

Carbon fiber removable license plate bracket for the C7
The company that produces the carbon fiber removable license plate bracket for the C6 ZR1, GS and Z06 is working on a design for the new C7.
I don't know what stage in the design process they are at, but if it is like the C6 version, it's going to be nice. I have one for my ZR1 and it's great! I personally like the way it sits lower on the facia and air flow is not a problem at all. I put it on when I drive and take it off when I am at home or at shows. It is super light and the carbon fiber pattern matches the front spoiler perfectly. I trust the company will be looking for testers, as they did for for the C6 version and they gave a free bracket to the tester for their help. Here is a video of the C6 one in action. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=A6AR0r_VXTc Leon. |
I have a silver/red one on order and while I hope not have to use this, being in NY it may be a viable alternative to getting pulled over ;)!

Nope. Well that's a Canadian dealer so I'm not sure if their front plate laws are different.
The normal front plate bracket fits completely within the grille. |
Our front plate laws are similar to the US. I don't know why that one has a drilled on one. It is Ontario, they do things differently there...
