Production of the 2024 Chevy Camaro Coupe will end this week, with the final vehicles rolling off the assembly line on December 14th, according to information obtained from knowledgeable sources by GM Authority.

You think GM can at least provide a picture of the last one tomorrow. Warring divorcees have been treated better than this chapter closure of the 6th Gen.

I’m wondering if they care so little about this sendoff if we should start buying probable needed replacement parts now? Are they going to look at it like the next Corvair when it comes to parts?

I personally, cannot confirm nor deny.

But I can confirm that, sharks are circling new waters :pout:

I already began a few months ago, but IMO it's enough to stock up Camaro specific parts (e.g. dark taillights), parts from "shared bins" that are used across GM portfolios will remain available.

I started buying some parts after I got mine in 2021. They have to make parts for 7 years after, but as the numbers come down the price goes up. Ugg!!!

I will be using this time frame to acquire the few OEM parts I feel I will need. Eventually looking to have a spare drivetrain down the line. Already have a few. This kind of stuff has really had me dreaming about starting a business selling parts/junkyard. I’ll have to keep dreaming for now, not in a financial position to start a business.

Well if you do decide to follow your deam, you certainly have one customer already, I'll drive down and check out your inventory as soon as you announce

Well, you have had this one awhile, lol. C8 Z06? Cadimallac? Tesla?

I wouldn't get uptight about parts yet.

When the 4th gen was axed in 2002, parts were available for a while, and still aren't hard to find today, even some of the more specific things to those cars. The 6th gen has had a longer run than the later 4th gens, 98-02 versus 16-24.

I'm so glad I pulled the trigger on buying one of the few '23 1SS cars left in my area. 2024 is a very short model year, and most of the SS cars seem to be high option 2SS and verts.

Whatever happened to needing a vehicle built in 2024 to qualify as MY2024? Are they going to run the paperwork on that on January 1 or something?

GearheadSS 12-14-2023 10:07 AM

Can confirm.
