Base Interior

Have we seen the base interior yet without the carbon fiber and all the options?

FenwickHockey65 01-16-2013 09:24 PM

Nope.

guiLT 01-17-2013 09:28 AM

Unfortunately, we've barely seen anything except a grey and red Corvette.

FenwickHockey65 01-17-2013 09:37 AM

Yep. The base interior isn't fully leather wrapped from what I can tell.

guiLT 01-17-2013 09:44 AM

I still want a seat.

FenwickHockey65 01-17-2013 09:46 AM

Me too. If I win the lottery I'll buy a bunch of them after I get my C7 and yours. :D

guiLT 01-17-2013 09:52 AM

Sweet!

newILLUSHN 01-17-2013 02:04 PM

When will they post the option packages?

So the 1LT has Moulin Leather GT Seats while the 2LT/3LT has Performance Leather GT Seats w/ Lumbar/Wing Adjust... I'm thinking different hydes/pattern but still the same shape and Magnesium frame?

As far as I know, and it is written to appear that the 1LT has lumbar/wing adjust just manual instead of power.

Either way I think I prefer the Competition Seats.

ec1990 01-17-2013 07:03 PM

just found this picture of the GT seat in black

Haven't they said the base still has all the carbon fiber and goodies? I was just assuming it didn't come leather-wrapped. But those GT seats are SWEET.

According to the equipment list on the 1LT the carbon fiber interior trim package is not available equipment.

Bummer, I know they said something about the base still incorporating the goodies like carbon fiber. I guess not for the interior though. :(

Performance seat is a completely different design. In fact some Corvette engineers have said it may be uncomfortable for some if they plan on using their Corvette for a daily driver.

I don't think the interior comes with carbon fiber on any, it's a package, either way the body pieces made from it are on all models. I'm actually not a huge fan of carbon fiber interior, it doesn't flow well with the pieces that aren't covered in it. But to each their own.

Wait a sec... so standard GT vs. Performance GT vs. Competition? I thought I read there are only 2 seat options... unless they meant the standard GT and then the optional 1) Performance and 2) Competition. I meant is the Moulin GT the same shape/configuration as the Performance GT? Like in the previous pic of that all black seat.

From what I've read there's two seat options GT/Competition. The shape, form, etc.. is the same on GT, just the material and what power options are on each seat is what changes.

Same here. Different materials/hyde/pattern/adjustments but exactly the same GT configuration & shape. And then the next remaining option is the Competition which is clearly different overall.

That's my understanding. I'm leaning towards Competition just for when I start tracking it, but the common sense side says they'll be too uncomfortable for cruising and not worth it since the GT are probably plenty track-ready, but they look so sweet.

Ehh I might have misunderstood you. Or I'm talking about the Competition seat actually. I don't know, I'm tired. :D

So no one has actually seen the competition seats?

I seen where it said later release or something to that extent.

The gts look ba as is.

FenwickHockey65 01-17-2013 08:24 PM

No, the Competition seats were in the show cars I'm pretty sure.

Wow I have seen those and didnt notice the difference. Thanks!

GaBoy25 01-17-2013 08:29 PM

I tell you this is going to be a car that is painstakingly hard to option. My OCD an indecisiveness is going to make it a nightmare.

ec1990 01-17-2013 08:29 PM

No problem. Really makes me want to put a 5-point harness for everyday use.

I'm definitely going to have to see things in person, seats, roof panels (Carbon-Fiber, Body Color, Transparent)

Stingray 01-17-2013 08:34 PM

That's why many of us (me included) wants to see more of the base interior. Chevy folks did state that even the 1LT is well-equipped. Can't wait already! :D

OctaneZ28 01-17-2013 08:34 PM

Base interior will be interesting to see.
I have a feeling that it will still be attractive.

In the past I would have doubted gm. But I completely agree; they still have my head spinning.

And that's one hell of a way to sell cars. GM ftw!

Stingray 01-17-2013 08:52 PM

And I also want to see a close-up pic of this neat little detail:

"There’s even a micro-LED screen for the passenger’s climate control placed below the vent on the on the dash away from the performance features on the instrument panel."

GaBoy25 01-17-2013 08:53 PM

I officially quit.
