Any know why the Whipple supercharger was discontinued? Any news on a new supercharger?

Supposedly releasing a 3.0 kit at some point. Kind of dumb that they discontinued the 2.9 before having the replacement ready.

Well that depends, do they buy the parts turnkey or do they hold inventory? If they hold inventory it could be bad especially if people hold out for the new unit, they could get stuck with inventory - I call it the 2004 GTO syndrome.
