Sooo... Will Flacco get the Stingray??

End of a good game. Still waiting to see if the MVP gets the Stingray. Two University of Miami players on the winning team. It is all about The U !

Well, no Stingray during the Superbowl after all. Very disappointing.

GaBoy25 02-03-2013 10:27 PM

Sucks

Stingray 02-03-2013 10:29 PM

Not even 1 Stingray commercial... oh well.

FenwickHockey65 02-03-2013 10:30 PM

GM wasn't doing any commercials for the SuperBowl this year.

Stingray 02-03-2013 10:35 PM

Oh yeah that's right. It was mostly Hyundai and Kia.

GaBoy25 02-03-2013 10:40 PM

Motor Authority:
"It turns out the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray had a starring role at Super Bowl XLVII after all, with the game’s MVP, quarterback Joe Flacco, winning one for his impressive performance in the Ravens victory over the 49ers. With General Motors choosing not to advertise at the Super Bowl this year, there were many, including us, still expecting its star car, the Corvette, to appear somewhere.

Many sports fans may have overlooked the Corvette that appeared on the field at Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, despite its bright red finish, though no doubt it caught the eye of numerous sports car fans, including those at the game and those watching at home.

Flacco will have to wait a few more months until he can hop behind the wheel of the 2014 Corvette Stingray he just won as the car hasn’t entered production yet (GM used a pre-production unit). Production at the Corvette’s Bowling Green plant in Kentucky is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of the year.

I'll have to give the Ravens some love (I do live 19 miles away from M&T Stadium after all and most of the folks around here are die-hard purple jersey wearers). So congrats on Super Bowl #2. Being a die hard 'Skins fan, gotta wait and see how knee rehab goes along with trying to rebuild a defensive secondary without any high draft pics :(.

And the 'Vette is totally wasted on Flacco - he didn't even own a car coming to Baltimore initially. His preferred method of transportation around Delaware's campus was on a bicycle. In fact, teammates apparently had to force him into buying a car once he was here. Apparently, they realized that having your parents drop you off at the stadium was a little too wussy for a NFL starting QB :bolt:. Yes, he really had them do that his first home game..........
