Camaro Owners

Do you guys plan on trading for a Stingray, adding a Stingray to your garage, or not getting a Stingray at all?

Stingray 02-19-2013 08:18 PM

Praying and planning to add. :amen: :D

GaBoy25 02-19-2013 08:21 PM

I have title in hand on my truck. Camaro will go for sure. Not forever as the gen 6 might spark my interest. Ive got 3 to trade or sale. Just not sure how many I want to trade or which ones.

Luckly I have some time to decide.

I was SO close to buying a zl1 until this beauty surfaced.

Some people will have it all.....lucky jokers :D

GaBoy25 02-19-2013 08:22 PM

Speaking of lucky jokers....look above me. He was one in my mind :D

My beautiful 2010 SS/RS is for sale and the allocation deposit is in for the 2014 Stingray.

Alfie

GaBoy25 02-19-2013 09:50 PM

Hey alfie!

This is true. This guy got on it quick!

Roll_the_Dice 02-19-2013 09:58 PM

I am thinking of selling my Camaro now and just driving one of my other cars until I can get the C7. I just can't seem to pull the trigger yet on putting it up for sale. I would rather sell my Camaro outright than trade...I hate trading to a dealer.

Stingray 02-19-2013 10:03 PM

I'm hoping the late availability of the Competition Seats option is not oh so very late... that's a check mark on the option sheet I'd want to tick off.
I really like my SS... I'm not planning to but if I just had to give up one, it might be the other pony. :ohwell:

Wow. You would actually give up the Boss over the SS?

GaBoy25 02-19-2013 10:43 PM

Hes as hormonal as a senior prom queen.

Today yes...tomorrow hell no!

mikeyg36 02-19-2013 10:54 PM

 He should just keep both and add the C7 :thumb:

Stingray 02-19-2013 11:03 PM

Kev, that auto show didn't do me any good... I'm having withdrawal symptoms! :der:

Yeah yeah I plan to keep both... :drama: :D

The odds just went up today. My wife got a major promotion at her company. In another thread, I mentioned that she wanted to buy me one this Fall for my birthday. If she did, I'd be trading in my 45th Anniversary Camaro on it.

I'm not going to hold her to that. But if my career dominoes fall into place this year as well, well... maybe.

In that case I speak prosperity to you and your spouse over the next few months.

Good things will come your way:D

:thumb: wow - congrats!!!! I laugh when I tell people I'm buying a 'Vette for us (my wife and I) but there are going to be knock down, drag out fights over who gets to drive it when :D And although I'm thinking about the auto, she's dead seat on a M7. Done, end of story................ :p

I learned a long time ago, not to argue or fight with my wife...she's a lawyer. Plus, she can drive my 650 HP manual trans Camaro with no problem.

Hell no, divorcing her would be more expensive than the 'Vette . Besides, I'm slightly fond of her

I'm a long way from being in a position to get a Corvette. I'm looking at a 5thgen Camaro hopefully this year or next.

rmnc3r 02-20-2013 08:26 PM

I'm thinkin', hopin' and droolin' with my sights set on 2015...
GM sure as hell better offer Lime Rock Green or something similar for that MY.
I do plan on keepin' my RedZed and DFB Challenger, though.

I hope you're able to pull off a 5th gen. You won't be disappointed :thumb:

I believe there are a good number of clean low mileage 2010 SS'es selling in the low 20K price range. Not bad. :chevy:

PQ 02-21-2013 10:02 AM

I'll pass for now. Maybe one day I trade in or let the Camaro go. But I'll buy a used C7.

HubStep 02-21-2013 01:13 PM

Definitely shooting for both, though it's looking like 2015-2016 model for me. :)

Can't wait to have the remakes of two american classics side by side! (in red, of course ;) )

2010SSRSM6 02-21-2013 06:32 PM

The wife is resisting my plans to get her a C7. I'm hoping that after they come out her opinion will change. I will not part with my SS, so I would likely wait for a later year C7 so the wife can get what she wants. Plus, the SS will be paid off before the C7 is released so I see no reason to part with it.

All the spy photos seem to be wearing her down so ...............:noidea:

Salameth 02-23-2013 03:21 PM

I plan on trading my 2010 2SS/RS.

Bad@ssCamaro 02-24-2013 12:27 AM

I plan on getting a 5th gen this year. Waiting to see what the 6th gen has to offer in a few years, if me no likey, then Corvette will I posess...7th gen that is.http://www.adiumxtras.com/images/thu...2131_thumb.jpg

Stingray 02-24-2013 08:29 AM

Hmmm. A wise plan, you speak... yes. http://mangahelpers.com/forum/images/smilies/yoda.gif

erasedgod 02-24-2013 09:50 AM

I'll be trading my 2010 SS toward the Stingray. I might have to sell it first and go without a car for a few years if the Marine Corps decides I'm going to Okinawa this summer. Like GaBoy25, I was real close to trading in for a ZL1, but now I absolutely have to get a 'vette.

Mine is for sale -> http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=273686

However if I don't get close to asking I will keep it and still get the Stingray. Will just need to argue with the wife over garage space~

volsfan0911 02-24-2013 05:16 PM

good luck with it. That is one very nice camaro........:thumb:

Thank you! It is an awesome ride which is why I am not in a rush to move it =). I just happen to live in California where space is at a premium...

oyealiz 02-27-2013 07:25 PM

I'm going to sell my Camaro and maybe another vehicle or two. I hate giving up anything, but I don't drive them all (the Camaro's not been driven in three months at least), and I need space to add the c7!

You may want to rethink the idea of the Competition seats unless you plan the primary use of the car it tracking it. Bob Hall a GM engineer was at the winter NCRS meet in Florida last month and he said that the competition seats were not designed for a daily driver or a car that would be used for trips. They are specifically for track use as they have no real comfort level.

I'd likely be fine with it... my Boss 302 has the optional pair of Recaros and I love it. I saw/felt/played with the Competition seats at the CHI auto show and have no immediate qualms.
In due time, we shall see... :thumb:
