2014 C7 Corvette Stingray Final Horsepower and Torque Specs: 455 hp / 460 lb-ft

UPDATE:
Looks like the PDF below was slightly off from the official final figures. GM has just released official published final HP/TQ figures of 460 hp / 465 lb-ft. See full details @ http://www.corvette7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=298244 _______________________________________ PDF documents (images below) about the C7 Corvette have turned up on GM's media site and if the specs on the the C7 coupe sheet is final (which they appear to be since they no longer have 'est.' [estimated] next to the numbers), then we now know that the 2014 Corvette has official HP and torque figures of 455 HP and 460 LB-FT. Compare these final figures to the specs for the C7 Convertible, which still has the estimated (est.) figures on its sheet. If you remember, the estimated figures released at the C7 launch was 450 HP / 450 LB-FT, so the final numbers are a nice little bump from the original 'estimates.' |
Very cool. I was really hoping for 470+ though...
|
Awesome!!!!
 |
Too much power for me- maybe I'll get a 2015 with the 5.3 under 400 hp.

455/460 is  to me!!
But for today, it's reverted back to 450/450 est. http://media.gm.com/dld/content/medi...E-MANUAL-a.pdf |

SWEET!!!

It should look great pacing the 500 race today!
Im sure with the AFM and 6 speed automatic, the Tampa Tuning business will be very busy like we are with the 6l80/90 transmission in the Camaros. Great for the car, just not much fun until calibrated. I was thinking of buying a 2012 ZL1, but I put myself on hold to see how the base corvette performs Phil |
Assuming those number are real why is the convertible 5 hp/10#tq less than the coupe?

But to my understanding that production wont start till June and the first batch will be delivered on August 25th. Is he Fubaring me to get an extra 2 grand or does this sound plausible? |

I know I am not Becky and she knows she can respond freely w/o upsetting me should she want to. According to past practice, the final runs of the captured test fleet cars will go down the line in June (some of which will later be sold as used) Although some regular production vehicles may start down the line before August, they should all show an 08/13 on the door jamb sticker. Then there is the initial quality hold, for just in case situations. Shipping will start once the first couple of weeks of production has cleared qc, probably on or about August 24. We will have a better idea of a shipping date when the first etas come out in the middle of June. Laborsmith |

I'm still waiting for official pricing and the build it yourself on the Chevy website. That will let me know exactly how much money I need to save.
